This makes me happy to know :)

Just watched the steeda YouTube videos on the bushings and wheel hop system, if you haven't seen them they're well worth a look, HD goPro pointing right at the problem before and after. It's insane how much play/travel stock has!
This one shows even more.

Those will not work together. I would get the BMR CB005.
Thank you, saved me some $. Would they not fit together, as in they both share a same mounting point/bushing? Or would they mount independently, but accomplish the same thing? I am guessing it's the first by your reply. I was leaning towards the Steeda aluminum set just cause it looks kind of stealthy, but have been eying the CB005 because of all the positive reviews, except the one guy who said it raised his vehicle somehow.

So can I ask when do the Steeda subframe support braces comes into play, could it be used with either of the kits I mentioned above? Does the CB005 address the same thing as that this brace set does? Sorry, but guessing others would like to know. Not that I'm sure it hasn't been brought up many times, just hard to find "this vs. that" info sometimes.

BmacIL@ That's great, maybe I should try installing just this myself, as it'll be a few months before full suspension and IRS upgrades can be purchased and it can be taken into the shop.

I'm not mechanically gifted though, so...

The rear dampers I mentioned before are very easy. Took me an hour taking my time and that is including jacking the car.

The lockout kit is more involved but still pretty straightforward. I'd recommend going in small increments to get the feeling you're looking for, rather than dropping a bunch of money on things that certainly do work, but may not be completely what you're after or could produce some undesirable effects that would be harder to diagnose.

The Cb005 does what the steeda subframe support braces + IRS subframe bushing kit do together. You cannot use the subframe support braces with the cb005 kit. You could use the rear bushing Steeda pieces with the front part of the Cb005, if you really wanted to.

The one guy who had a ride height issue was able to fix it by "clocking" the bushings.

Gotcha, thanks for taking the time to explain!

i suggest choosing one or the other Steeda/BMR. They both have a full line up of gear to stop deflection of the irs. They approached some parts from different directions, so go either or. Some here use steeda and love it, same with BMR. Both are very active and are available to us here at 6gen.

I installed the Steeda subframe braces this week. They make a very noticeable improvement over broken pavement. The rear of the car is much more composed. With traction control off it has eliminated wheel hop, you still get some when it is on but it is a big improvement. I do not detect any increase in NVH.

I chose the Steeda over the BMR because the Steeda appears to triangulate the subframe better. With the price being the same or the Steeda a little cheaper (depending on where you get them) I felt it was a no brainer.

I have continental contisports on the back of my car. But I have a GTPP car with 19s and they're 275 wide. I really don't have any issues with my car stepping out, unless I try to.

Lower profile tires like the ones on your 20s, can cause some of these issues too.

Ford stuck with 19s on the gt350 for a reason.

Hey thanks for providing your feedback! Happy you're liking the braces! :)

The car has better grip than an STI for sure, the added power and lack of 4wd just feels different. I had a highly modded sti and tbh it didn't compare to my GTPP
I disagree with your statement because I also had 2 STis (04 & 15) prior to the GT and I can attest that the STi is a confidence inspiring car to drive hard in turns unlike the GT.

What year was your STi?

I don't think it's about the wheel size that causes issues because either wheel size would have the same contact patch width.

Are the Contisports all season tires?

But not the same sidewall characteristics. Taller sidewalls can be more forgiving having a more gentle transition from traction to breaking loose. I think that is the point the prior poster was making.
