I actually set my exhaust to track and pulled the fuse. I'm happy with the volume.

Richard
So that really works? It even starts up in track?

Actuators can't close with no power.... PCM thinks it's in a different mode but...

Just got my Xpipe installed with active exhaust. Cold starts can make you wet your pants. Once warmed up the exhaust it's quiet in Quiet mode. My wife approved, that's all that matters. Normal and Sport are perfect for me. Man I love having the adjustability.

Active exhaust is worth the money. The difference can be heard easily and like many others said the option for quiet mode is nice. I put a H pipe in mine and I absolutely love it. It was a cheap modification with serious results. Wouldn't change a thing.

So there really is no factory option to save the exhaust setting in a certain mode? If you want sport you have toggle to it every time you drive?

Thanks

Correct. You can set Quiet Start times, otherwise it defaults to Normal mode on startup

Love having the option! For sure it's worth the $. You can still add an aftermarket exhaust, just need to get one with active valve.

Thank you for confirming.

That is a bummer, it's a pain changing modes the way it is set up. Wish they would have made it one of the toggle switches on the console, like the drive modes.

I retrofitted the AE onto my 2022. It cost me significantly less than ordering it from the factory. Around 50% of the cost. The exhaust note was significantly better and more enjoyable than the non-active exhaust. A lot deeper tone. Just added the oe GT350 x-pipe and i am addicted to it. Quiet mode is still silent for cold starts on my way to work and then track mode absolutely screams. 10/10 recommend

AE was MUST HAVE for me. Your neighbors may tell you loud exhaust sounds awesome when you drive by but NO one likes loud exhaust. Not when I'm putting my toddlers down; not when we're watching screens; not when we're eating; not when I'm on a work call.

So, I never "sh!t where I eat". Mine's in quiet until I'm well away from my neighborhood. I've also found that after 10 minutes of roaring on the highway (I do have a soft top), I'm numb from it. The GT fulfills its name and cruises so comfortably and gently in quiet mode.

The thundering burble in the other modes is awesome sweet music. I'd argue that any aftermarket might change the tune but arguably can't make it better.

Only options are to click a few buttons on your steering wheel controls or flip the car into sport/track mode if you have the switches.

They should have made easier for us to put the car into different exhaust models and save them. Its not like normal mode doesn't already start the car up loud anyways lol.

Personally I only like quiet mode and track mode.

I hear on other cars (Audi RS3) that when you do a fuse pull on the exhaust it can throw a soft engine code (not visible) that reduces power.

Hopefully there is no negative side effect to fuse pull.

Still extremely quiet in quiet mode/quiet start with h pipe?
