I found out at my dealership that every EcoBoost convertible that has come through their lot has not had the shutters. But all the EcoBoost hardtops do. Weird!

Inguess fuel efficiency is not important on verts? Not sure of the logic. You call ford and speak to an engineer.

The only reason I know mine has them, is because mine are noisey. When I first got it I was letting it idle in the driveway, and kept hearing a strange noise. Took me awile to realize it was the shutters.

Mine definitely had them, had to remove them when I installed my GT upper and lower grilles.
Did the GT upper and lower grilles bolt right in or was their any issues?

Cool. I have been thinking about changing mine out for the GT because i like the fangs of the GT. Then again i'm waiting to see what other aftermarket grilles might come out.

Removed mine as well when I did the upper/lower grill deletes.

I can tell you that the tabs on the bumper to remove the grills are no joke!

I ended up ordering the GT upper and lower grilles. Was only $159.00. I can always swap them back when selling/trading the car or if i want to go back to EB grilles.

Well i got my GT upper and lower grilles yesterday. Installed them today. Looks much better. Gets rid of the ugly bottom one that comes with the EB for the engine block heater. That one looked Fugly as hell. LOL. While i was at it i plasti-dipped the running horse in the grille. All in all the whole job wasn't super easy but wasn't too hard either. Just time consuming.

I thought you guys were pulling me leg . I had to go out this morning and look through me grille and sure enough shutters .. well if we do not see any attributable MPG with or without them then atleast they should help keep those pesky bugs to a minimum and not collecting all over the radiator ..

That would be pretty convenient. Just pull the string to close them when u need the extra fuel efficiency

Another thing to point out. I noticed looking at different logs using the Cobb AP that he shutters were always open. After looking at the Cobb OTS tune the grill shutters are actually set to 100% open all the time. So unless you change the tune they are never going to close anyhow and might as well take them out.

Strange...you ever see them closed? Like when they're supposed to be?

I've always wondered how effective they are recessed that far into the grill.
