Did the mechanics know you have a dash cam recording? I don't believe you can record audio without their consent.

100 mph sounds like joy riding to me. What's the speed limit of the road they were on ? That speed could be reckless driving.
Tennessee law you can record audio and video without consent within your home and your vehicle is considered an extension of your home.

He was on the interstate passing all kinds of cars.

Your dash cam record the speed ?

I'd probably contact a lemon law attorney and get their opinion.

Did you buy the car from this dealership ?

Yes it did record the speed. It is a GPS cam and prints it with the date and time on the video as well as it will plot the route on a map.

That will be my next move. I am trying to work it out nicely with ford first. I don't want cash back just a good car.

Well faxed all the info to the BBB today let's see how that goes. I still hope ford calls Thursday to say yes they will swap it out for me with a good mustang.

Which Dash Cam do you have? I'm in the market for a good one.

Option three sounds like the best. You don't want this crew to touch your car, based on what has happened to this point, so lemoning it and getting a check makes sense. Option 2 is a possibility if you still feel good about the car and the marque, but you might be kicking yourself if you end up with another bad car.
Regarding the video, where did you mount the camera? was it out of sight? Does it power up automatically when the ignition is turned on?
Looks like a great setup if you want to document your driving--or somebody else behind the wheel of your car. Saw something like this on the Corvette with their performance video setup--which can work in the valet mode and turn on when the ignition is on.

It is mounted by the rear view mirror and powers up with the ignition. It does have a red and green light for recording and GPS lock that light up so it is visible.

So it sounds like it was clearly visible and these guys just missed it. Makes you wonder what the attention to detail of this crew was if they can miss a video recorder(powered up and recording)that is mounted near the windshield, while they're driving down the road at 100mph.

mounted on the windshield and he made sure to unplug the radar detector before his drive. you can hear it power up and say "System Active" and him say "Not any more" I be he thought it powered down the camera and radar.

Question to you guys. If a knock is apparent lets say even in neutral, whouldn't the knock sensors show positive knock on any tuner device? Isn't it an easy way to show the knock! Or Delaers can use their own equipment to record the knock activity!

knock is a timing issue that the computer can adjust for, whereas a "tick" is a mechanical issue

Spark knock is what the sensors pick up. The frequency of a spark knock is different than an engine knock (# of Hz the sensor is tuned to listen for)

Gotcha!

These coyote engines are pretty loud and the engine noise mixes with the tranny noise especially if you have a shifter bracket or trans mount. I also hear some ticking and other type of noises from the engine especially when the hood is open. Since i ve never owned a loud car like this before i assumed its normal. But maybe not:shrug: I guess you drive it till you see a check engine light or something falls or shoots out of the hood!

this is my second coyote and 6th modular ford. I have built/rebuilt more of them than I can count now and the Coyote, while a strong motor, has a lot off odd issues IMHO.
