Got a text from the Ford Technician this morning. A couple of the lobes look like the rollers on the followers stop rolling at times. He said it created excessive wear on the lobes. So now in addition to a short block I'm getting new cams and followers. I have a lot of faith in the technician. I'm glad he's taking good care of my car. So I wait.

5W20 Motorcraft Full Synthetic, 28,000 miles

Got my car back yesterday. Now has a new short block and cams. Also the tech was nice enough to swap stock gears for MMR billet OPG and crank spindle so now Lund can bring me up to 8,000 rpm after break in. Just installed a Bob's catch can to start this new block off right. It is running well. No tick

Thats awesome you got them to install the opg/cg. Talk about saving some money and time. I'll find out Monday what my service manager says about mine. I have a video in case they say can not duplicate. If I pull that unicorn and get a shortblock, I will see if they will do the same for me.
