Mad a huge difference for me. Went from PP1’s to Aodhan DS08 19x9.5 squared. Running a 285/35/19 radial out back and a 255/40/19 in the front and I and everyone else say they def look to be staggered rim wise when they’re of course not. Sit perfectly flush w rear fenders . Saved almost 8lbs per corner and I reused the same tires in the front. IMO it made a bigger difference than my LTH did performance wise. And it is t just straight line faster- brakes better, handles better and feels 50% more nimble on its feet

And at <$300/wheel, bang for the buck they’re hard to beat. I actually wanted a staggered Aodhan AH02 but they were a cpl weeks out in the rear wheels so DS08 were my 2nd choice

I went with p51 wheels if i recall they were 21lbs a wheel. Huge difference from the pp1 wheels. If i ever manage to buy baer eradispeed rotors i can shave another 25ish lbs off the unsprung weight.

I totally agree, mines came stock with the 20's and noticed a big difference when switching to Project6GR wheels.

Damn it looks like you dropped her what? 1.5"? The contrast in your OLD WHEELS and NEW WHEELS pics are significant ont he ride height. Track only car or you drive it around the city?

I'm in the club now. Went with the GR6 Seven's 285/35/19 in front and 325/30/19 in the back per the Project GR recommendations.

I've only had them on 3 days and not driven a ton yet, but they feel different for sure! I notice it goes easier when I let out the clutch and definitely has less resistance there. Love love love the look, the rears are killer.

I will upgrade to longer studs for the front to poke out like the rears do at some point, wish I had noticed that before I bought but I missed that one.

Its dropped on Eibach sportlines in both pics. The stock wheels were 20's and the aftermarket are 19's. I've done autoX and drive on the street mainly on weekends.

That explains it! According to their site
  • Coupe Drop: Front - 1.5” Rear - 1.3”
The one thing I'm scratching my head over is it looks LOWER with the 19s (including less gap in your wheelwell) than it does with the 20s. I would expect the tire size/rim size to have some impact on height but not that much!

They really are anchors ⚓ no wonder that my car is so slow
I just bought a set of 19x10 SVE M1 reps that weigh 23 lbs each. So that's over 40 lbs of rotating mass savings. If you did the same you would notice a very large performance gain not only in speed but in cornering too! I had the PP1 wheels on my car which served me well but were also boat anchors! :like:

Gotcha. Yea those 325s are super wide. They work but ideally you don't want the tread width to be wider than the wheel width for handling and performance. A 305 PS4S is 11.5 I think the 325 is 12.3. Works fine but tire just doesn't react as fast. I was thinking the rear was a 11.5 inch wheel. Id have to look up tread width on the 285 your running but Id guess you are in the ball park with that one. I'm splitting hairs here but many wheel companys have no idea.

The 19x11 with 325s was what Project GR6 recommended so I went with it. I am not hip to all the numbers myself to know any better, so the mfg recommendation was it for me.

Interesting thought though, I will keep aware of this. I don't expect these tires to last more than 2 1/2 summers so I'll try something else next time if I notice any funny business.
