I’ll be drilling a small hole in the corner of the oem battery box and running wire ( properly secured and inside loom for protection) beneath the Car and on side of factory inner frame rail for protection and up into the trunk via a small drilled hole w grommet. Easy/quick/simple and neat
I prefer to just use the little small wedge piece of rubber/plastic that mounts and holds it Bron the base of the battery and a bolt when usin a full size (or close to full size) battery. Cleaner appearing and lighter and almost gives the look of nothing being there other than the battery...
I’m aware that the one piece wouldn’t be as light as a 2 piece - just asking are there any more affordable 2 piece versions -or- a lighter than most - one piece option. Oem’s and the replacement drilled ones I’ve already bought a little while ago are both 32-33 lbs. the Eradispeed and Girodisc...
is anyone aware of a lighter weight 1 piece brake rotor available for s550 pp1 Brembo car (380 mm)? Or an affordable set of 2 piece? I’m aware of Eradispeed, Girodisc and Steeda rotors
I don’t see the point of these mounting contraptions. Very easy, simple aesthetically pleasing options that have been around forever that I prefer visually over them. To each their own though.
What are the daily driver guys doing for an affordable lighter weight battery? Everyone says I...
Where are you going to get your $300 batteries? The dealer? There’s actually quite a few options for substantially less than that
Personally I think dropping 4-5-600 on a battery is just plain stupid. .
As for the mounting brackets, I’m mounting in the trunk for traction and weight...
Looking for a lightweight battery for my 16 GT daily driver/weekend warrior for $300 or less. Can anyone confirm one that holds up to daily duties for a reasonable price? In Kentucky so it will see freezing temps
Guys quit buying these ridiculously priced upgraded bolts from these guys and measure or take old bolts to Fastenal or similar hardware store and buy them yourself or order online. You’ll pay 15% of what you’d pay at BMR, Steeda or the likes and have the option of whatever strength bolt your...
Talked to a guy at the track with an 18 S550 who had Kia Stinger 18x4 spares he was using as skinny’s. Funny because I had just been contemplating doing some research on finding the same kinda thing. He said they bolted right up to his pp1 but he did have to grind down the bore w a dremel tool...
Have my oem cloth Recaro seat skins for sale, I went to leather after finding them on eBay. Car had roughly 22k miles when they were removed and is a 2016 GT PP1 that came with these cloth Recaros from the factory. I have attached pics of them on and off the seats. They are in great shape with...
Man I have no idea what I’m the hell you did, looks like a regular old stock headlight to me. Maybe a side by side of a stock one and your modded one would bring it home. I’m a mechanic and have been for 29 years but couldn’t tell ya jack as far as components of a headlight. Not trying to be an...
Man I’d love to get my hands on a set and eventually prob will but at $900 they’re freaking ridiculously expensive for the PP1 cars. Anyone know if a 2 piece rotor that’s 1/2 way affordable? I can see 4-500 for a pair but $450 a rotor is just crazy to me. Be diff if they were carbon ceramic or...
Ok cool, I was aware they are a common issue & was starting to lean that way as far as diag but figured I’d ask hoping it wasn’t. Codes are just kinda all over the place so I knew something goofy goin on. I spent prob 5-6 hrs & $40 in dremel bits porting this one so sucks to have to do it all...
My 16 GT started out with a B2S1 02 sensor code and sure enough it was dead so I replaced it. Car still didn’t seem right and got a po308 so I replaced plugs and #8 coil, gapped em to .050, deleted codes and still has a miss. I drive it for a few miles and start getting lean codes so pulled...
And at <$300/wheel, bang for the buck they’re hard to beat. I actually wanted a staggered Aodhan AH02 but they were a cpl weeks out in the rear wheels so DS08 were my 2nd choice
Mad a huge difference for me. Went from PP1’s to Aodhan DS08 19x9.5 squared. Running a 285/35/19 radial out back and a 255/40/19 in the front and I and everyone else say they def look to be staggered rim wise when they’re of course not. Sit perfectly flush w rear fenders . Saved almost 8lbs per...
