lol who cares what anyone puts in a v6..
The V6 is a 20K car that is an excellent option if you don't want to buy a typical economy car. The EB is too. The question was simple. Are there dyno results showing a significant difference between fuel grades like there is with an EB. The question is legitimate since someone may be trying to decide between a V6 and a EB. If the V6 makes advertised power using 87 but the EB needs 93 to make advertised power, you could make the case for buying the V6 as a DD just on gas cost. There are a lot of cars that are designed to run on 87 and using higher octane does nothing. Here in ATL, 93 is at least .50/gal more than 87 so using 93 is a decent cost hike if the car is a DD. As usual, no one answered the question, just spouted off their personal opinions on fuel- most of which are wrong.

I owned a 2012 V6 it's was a really great daily driver on 87 octane. You will not get any more performance out of the V6 running octanes greater than 87 unless you have it tuned for it.

Buy an Ecoboost, get an aux fuel kit for under a grand, run E85, gain an extra 100 horsepower. Blow the doors off of shit with fuel cheaper than 87 octane. Problem solved.

Come on up to the airport, I'll get ya some 100LL or 130LL octane avgas that we put in the helicopters. (Better take out the cats first, I don't think that stuff would be good for them).
