I plan on doing track nights once I get my GT350 broken in (over 1K miles). Not to sound lazy, but I just don't have the garage facilities to install a front tow hook myself. Has anyone had a shop install one? Price? And, any recommendations on a good set up.

Just an idea, but look for a mustang club in your area and see if someone might help you out. Generally speaking most car guys are pretty cool and helpful when they can be.

I have the Ford performance front tow hook, it mounts directly to the front bumper beam.

Had it installed by Watson racing in Michigan along with some other stuff last summer.

I just wish it wasn’t red lol

That's next on my to-do list. Seems pretty straight forward from the install vids I've seen. Depending on which brand your going with of course. I'd estimate a shop will charge you an hour of labor or so. Any local shop close to you should be fine.

I have this one, but not installed as the video I have watched for install says it is easier to remove the whole front bumper and front wheels to do it.
yep. I'm sure it is. I rather take the bumper off than having to drill through the crash bar.

Does anyone have a view of the Ford Performance assembly attach to the bumper? I’ve seen the ZL1...

FWIW, I’d rather have the tow hook at or above bumper level.

I have a garage. but decided to do the front tow hook install outside on a very nice day. I installed the ZL-1 front hook and later, their rear hook. For the front, it's helpful to have two people handle the front valence. Instead, I got creative using buckets stacked on a moving dolly and my creeper. After I got the height correct, it worked like a charm.

I wanted the hook's attachment post to come through the grill without drilling holes through it. To do that, you need to line-up the tow-hook receiver's post-hole in alignment with an opening in the grill. There is a lot of adjustability in the position of the tow-hook receiver, but I couldn't think of a good way to get in it a proper position except trial and error. The tow-hook post will go through the grill openings, but it's a snug fit, so the alignment must be quite precise.

The only way I found to do that was install the receiver, reinstall the grill, measure the misalignment with the nearest grill opening, remove the grill, carefully adjust the receiver position and reinstall the grill. I was able to get it right on the second valence install. The installation wasn't difficult, just tedious. It took me the better part of a Saturday to get it in.

The rear install - done at a later date - is easier, but when I removed the rear valence, I damaged the plastic hooks on the driver side and now the panel doesn't fit snuggly there. Obviously, I don't know how to remove that panel without damaging it. The right side came off OK (as did the front valence earlier), the left side - the last one I did - did not. Anybody have a tip on how to consistently remove the valence panels without damaging the plastic hooks? The shop manual is not particularly helpful. It says just give it them a strong pull.

No sweat. My car is a driver - not a showpiece. And it's a fantastic driver!

Note the extra pipe inside my outer exhaust trumpet. That's a short, straight exhaust extension used to attach my "Laguna Pipes" to help meet that track's 90-dB noise requirement.

I went with the Ford Performance ones. I wasn’t a fan of the red so I had them powder coated black. Very happy with them.

Has anyone mounted the FP 'under' the bumper as 1 Old Racer did above on the GT? I like how it's a little less conspicuous than above the bumper while still being bolted to the crash bar.
