Velocity blue is also my favorite color for the Mustang.

The bumper guards might be worth the bucks. I've put a few chin whiskers on my PP2 front splitter too.
However my big fear is a straight on contact with a curb where it could damage the mounting of the splitter.

A few people on here have bought multiple ones to have ready to deploy upon potential destruction. There's ford and cheap knockoffs online at various price points. Rough it up and your next one is ready to go!

if your not interested in accepting the replacement periodically route then you either have to

remove it permanently
address your driving style

it really takes some adjustment in your driving style and approach. It can be stressful but for most part I take my time, circle around if needed, take stuff at an angle. I'm not afraid to disrupt traffic a bit to go slow and adjust to the road. Unfortunately for the most part when driving my car I'm constantly thinking of where I'm going and what I might encounter. Multiple times I've had to spin the block or circle around to see what exactly I'm facing. The days of just driving with no thoughts like I do in my daily (rav 4) are over.

A helpful add on, separate from the HP Splitter, would be a metal, likely aluminum belly pan. Some form of metal skid plate protection. I’ve searched but cannot find anything of the sort. As a side note, l located what is claimed to be a new OEM secondary HP M1 splitter, part number shown in the original packaging
Part MR3Z-17626-AA. My local Ford dealership cannot locate this part number in their data base. Here is the claimed M1 HP splitter for sale. Again, my Ford dealership could not locate anything on the part number supplied in seller’s ad. Thank you for any suggestions or guidance. I hugely appreciate it.

@Flyhalf didn’t you develop something for your cars to help protect the underbelly a bit? Not sure if they fit a Mach 1 or not but figured I’d ask.

Not sure why they can't find it: https://www.levittownfordparts.com/sku/mr3z-17626-aa.html

If you want to see if it fits your car, go to https://parts.ford.com and enter your VIN. Then search the part number. You can see related parts under the "Related" tab that appears on the page.

Thank you for the tip. The part number in question, when plugged into the Ford Parts.com site indicates that this splitter does not fit my ‘23 M1. Interestingly though, when I Google the FB Marketplace part number ( re: the ad for the HP lower splitter on the 21 to 23 M1, it reverts to EBay, the exact same ad. The ad does caution, ‘make sure the part is compatible with your car ). Somebody out ( haven’t found a source yet , is producing a M1 metal skid plate or protective belly shield, that is a simple bolt on; maybe wishful thinking on my part ).

Probably write it off as a replaceable item. There’s a reason why the splitter isn’t a painted part. Might not be a bad idea to grab a spare one while ford still makes them. I scraped mine today trying to enter a raised parking lot. Made me cringe like nails on a chalk board!

I have been researching this metal under belly.

https://www.tbwperformance.com/tbw-aluminum-engine-under-tray-for-2015-2023-ford-gt-mustang-s550/

I've reached out to them but they can't confirm fitment for the Mach 1. Either they are waiting to do it or waiting for somebody to test out )=
I, ahem, tear these up, by hitting a kerb here and there or being an idiot parking in a lot. You see the air ducts for your brakes. also, see how the screws are recessed in the front middle? Different mounting.. but it looks like it may fit.. It is a lot cheaper than the Ford part.

Please provide detailed fitment information for the ‘21 to ‘23 M1 with this metal construction belly pan. It appears to contain a splitter. I have the HP M1. Any differences or similarities compared to OEM? Photos would be appreciated. I need thing thing to be a straight up bolt in, rivet in; without any modifications or nipping or tucking fabrication. Thank you 🙏
