I have. But the overwhelming majority of the time, they lift them under the pinch welds / rocker panels.

Yes. Only on the massive front section.
So not on the rear section closer to the fuel tank splash guard?
I am looking to place my quick jacks along the frame rails with a flat board to level out the weight across the rails to remove my current pinch weld jacking rails.

I have. Both on the front and the rear. I prefer not using the pinch welds to jack the vehicle up. Considering im not working on a perfectly flat location in my driveway, I would rather not have the jack slip or move while on the welds.

Ah. Sort of misunderstood the intent of the question. There is plenty of structure there.
Should be fine.

CJPP marked all the various places on S550 where you can jack the car up from

Has anyone else noted that they are on a hoist using slightly different points than they recommend?

I don't see the problem. When I got my Quickjack I removed my jacking rails by lying on the floor and used a 15mm socket. I put my phone in selfie mode and laid it on the floor to help see the bolts.

Hi Brian, Does that seem a little odd to you? Structure is structure. Weight is weight.
If a point has enough structure to support a given weight, and the device doing the lifting (Dynamic) or supporting (Static) that weight at that point is rated to do so safely... See where I'm going with this?? I think we should include the points they're using as safe. Don't you think?

I bough aftermarket rails from CP Pony Parts. They sit right behind the pinch weld segment from front to back. There are pads on my jack but now I can just line up on the pinch weld at any spot (in the middle lifts both side wheels). Worth the cost to me for sure.

I put a set under mine too. Just to keep the pinch welds from getting torn up.

here is my end game. I have built a set of full length ramps that my car sits on all the time, (Video shown). I store my quick jacks under the car. I remove the center of the full length ramps and slide the quick jacks into position to jack up the car. Last weekend I was under the car and noticed that the frame rails you'd be perfect to position the quick jacks under them to raise the car so that I could remove my old jacking rails,(they are in need of some T.L.C. or replacement). Then if the math is correct I could just position them and raise the car with the jacking rails and leave the full length ramp centers in place and just raise the car.
