FP T-2R Torsen vs Wavetrac ATB

[2021 Mach 1]

In the UK, Mach 1's did not get the standard Torsen differential. If I were to upgrade my rear diff, then which would you choose and why? Thanks.

I've never used the wavetrac but I have used the Detroit truetrac and it is an upgrade for the torsen IMO.

Me too. Not sure many people have driven both to really compare, but the idea behind the Wavetrac seems cool.

Yea, my gripe with the torsen type units is the zero traction issue.

Damnit, now I gotta put more money away LOL.

I really lIke lockers but they do tend to scare the crap out of passengers once in awhile. BANG!

Just read up on the wavetrac and now I want to try one.

Had a wavetrac on my previous car, excellent product for sure. My PFP is the side of the box it came in.

I tested with one wheel on some ice and the other on pavement and it worked well. It made the car a tank in the snow, I could go anywhere with that wavetrac and some snow tires. Carved up corners like crazy. It was a FWD car, but with that diff in it the dynamics were entirely changed. I preferred the lock-up behavior of the wavetrac to the Torsen that's in my car.

If I didn't already have an LSD in my mustang I would buy a wavetrac.

Bit of a thread resurrection, but I'll update in the UK what did you do today thread on how the wavetrac is once it's fitted.. Should be a couple of weeks time hopefully.
