If i take my drive shaft off I can rock the flange on the diff back and forth and clunk, clunk,clunk.

That's the back lash.. You should be able to move it and make a noise..

I can't answer your question but I will say that the torsen is weak. With a 3500 rpm launch on drag radials, mine broke. If you are looking to change, what about a wavetrac? I'm sure that Terry will give you a good price.

2013 and 2014 GT500s has torsen and a lot of people drag race them, if you are running high horsepower then I'd be worried, detroit true tracs stronger I believe

Anyone really serious about drag racing yanked the junky torsen out. I know i did.

As for the trac lok, I dont believe itll hold up any worse then the torsen. People are going 9s in the autos, they have trac loks same as the non pp gt m6s. As for stopping your sound, i have no idea. Personally id opt for the Strange S-Trac when it comes out. They have said they are making one for our super 8.8. Hopefully eaton is making a detroit locker. That would be a great choice too.

I just swapped from 3.55 trac-lock to 3.73's with Torsion, the torsion is noticeably smoother.. I also changed half shafts and springs at the same time, so take it for what it is worth..
