If they have to replace a engine, trans, or rear end they will for sure fully go through the ECU and determine it is(was) tuned before giving the green light.

The Houston GT350 owner that wrecked at cars and coffee tried to make a warranty claim at our local dealership saying the rear end just kicked out from him.

They said nice try but we do have the internet you know and advised him to contact his insurance company.
Whether he posted online or not wouldnt change there outcome, no manufacturer of a muscle car or any performance car will insure your vehicle if the rear end kicks out.. Now if it falls out then yes lol

Folks I've said a few posts up I'm not worried about the warranty or I would've never done the first mod.

I'm just asking if you know what it might be to save me some time and money.

It hit 8k which the limiter is set to. I let out of it immediately but it already cut the power to the pedal by then.
It is maxed out from the factory at 6750 or 7k but no wonder it cut out, the 350 intake doesnt make the engine voodoo! And 8k is voodoo territory alone...

Yes but your engine will not safely turn 8k rpms thus computer shut you down before something goes POP! Take it back to whoever tuned it you need a 7k rpm MAX tune i shift at 6500 rpms as thats generally when i feel safe shifting.

8k!!! Wow! Something in my gut told me that was the issue. Hopefully you didn't kill your OPG.

Well for one my car is all stock, and my 06 gt i traded in was all stock, so if i can stay content with 300hp im pretty sure my 435 is all i need for now, im all for warranty preservation, but no disrespect but if i have a problem with my car that i cant resolve myself, ie engine trans or air conditioner, im just going to take it to my selling dealer. Im not going to give my info on this or any website...

Sounds similar to the issue SD_GT had, that ended up being the clutch and due to it being improperly installed. I think a half shaft may have gone there too, though.

Good luck either way, if it runs and revs ok but just doesnt go then it may be limp mode, clutch or something in the rear end I'd think?

EDIT: Just realized you are A6, so not a clutch obviously. Hopefully just limp mode?

These engines will handle 8k revs and I didn't intentionally hit it, car spun and hit it.

I ordered a throttle body adapter to install my stock throttle body so I'll know if it's the gt350 tb of that fixes the issue.

Unless you are going to upgrade oil pump gear and adress valve float problems after 7500rpms have your redline changed to 7000 rpm! Then your car shouldnt go into limp mode and leave you stranded! Oh and btw its not F.O.R.D. Fault you altered your engine rpm above what they engineered the components to handle ie valves and oil pump gear etc...

Do you guys not visit the technical forum? There are people on there with 7500+ rev limiters set on their vehicle, it seems pretty common to put it up to 8000+ with the GT350 intake manifold. Ford sets it to 7500 with power pack 3, apparently, and they are going to be conservative. There are concerns for OPG and maybe harmonic balancer in that range but from the sounds of this post that doesn't seem to be the issue.

The link posted above is about the pre S550 Coyote as well, they did make enhancements to the new Coyote that may have improved its ability to handle higher revs.

Anyhow, it doesn't sound like the issue here has to do with the engine anyway, no need to beat the guy up about a professional tuner's work. Lund is pretty well respected and does raise the rev up on their tunes to this range.

Good luck with getting it fixed, hopefully it is something simple. Have you looked around the rear for any damage to the half shafts, drive shaft, or diff?

The coyote is not recommended to run 8000rpm stock, it may but it is very risky, however i believe something in the tune must have not been done correctly, as the ecm is obviously throwing his car in limp as soon as he reached 8000rpms!
