Remember when Jeff Gordon and JPM swapped cars? And Lewis and Tony Stewart? Great fun. Stewart had previously run Indy cars so he did good, but Jeff was a surprise. He could have been a really good F1 driver. But put a F1 driver in a two ton NASCAR, not so great!

Not sure I agree with you there...these drivers are the best in the world and would adapt to anything they drive. Their talents don't depend on the vehicle they drive.

Over time, absolutely. JPM drove NASCAR for awhile but never had the success that he had in Indy & F1. Jeff on the other hand, drovethe crap out of a F1 car his first time out. And then there’s Mario and Dan.

Welp Checo took pole yesterday so this is lining up to be a good race. If he wins and takes fastest lap we have a tied up championship run. At worst it’ll only be a point difference.

Today will be fun. Honestly I really do not like this venue or the track. I know the area well and it's just not a place I want to see a race. Give me Daytona, Sebring, even Homestead. I just wonder how many red flags we are going to see today.

I thought the same last year. But this year I actually like the layout, the surface is really good to so far. Cota is still at the top of my list here. I don’t have any faith in Vegas being decent but hopefully I’m wrong. The one thing I don’t like about street circuits is not being able to walk around the whole track like a purpose built road course.

Well there was more passing than last week. Lewis seemed to get settled in and back to his old self as the race progressed once he passed Albon. Max did what Max does.

As much as I like Perez, Verstappen is just on another level than every one else currently. There’s nothing Redbull could have told him to keep him out in front. And some may disagree with this part, but I don’t think Verstappen was really pushing, he was fully in control almost robotic today.

I don’t disagree with that. I didn’t see much communication between max and the team either, or the other teams for that matter. The race was pretty much drama free which is pretty unusual. I may have missed it though, I tune the commentating out at times to be honest depending on who’s doing it.
