My wife really wants me to go see and F1 race because I’m a fan and it’s a bucket list thing. We were pricing Vegas and it came out to 10K per person when everything was said and done for just that event. I’d rather invest that money on a 15 day vacation in Europe. Italy here we come. Wife finished her passport paper work.
Same here. We are even Hilton Vacation Club members and could stay with points at 4 different hotels on the strip if we wanted to...but the tickets are just stupid pricey.

We did two weeks in Italy last year and it if by FAR our favorite vacation and a fantastic first trip into Europe. I suggest Rome for just a few days to see the stuff you have to (Coliseum, Vatacan, etc) and the majority of your days in Florence/Tuscany area. Sienna (hour away via train from Florence) is AMAZING.

We just got back from a week in London and while it was enjoyable was not nearly as nice as Italy. To us it is basically the NYC of Europe.

Blame your parents. They should have had you sooner or moved here sooner. We had F1 races downtown including one of the best exchanges ever between Senna and rookie Alesi. That race was voted the best US Grand Prix of all time.

But, the nearby annual Ostrich festival drew bigger crowds so Bernie had to pull the plug. I had warned him not to schedule the Grand Prix head to head with that.

If you volunteered to work the event, you had free access to everywhere. My 3yr old toured the pits between sessions. One team didn't even mind when he left hand prints all over their 7-Up bodywork. He got to meet Senna, Berger and several other drivers and even got his picture with the provisional pole-sitter on the front page of the Phoenix paper (all about the spin).

That was an awesome race. But at the time I was not in the right part of the continent and still in HS when this one went down. I was in Chicago readying up for graduation. F1 wasn’t part of my vocabulary until I was stationed in Germany in ‘91 and thats when the romance started flourishing with this thing called F1.

The race has been cancelled due to heavy rain and flooding.

Geez, I wasn’t aware of this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected. I hope this is over quickly especially since I‘ll be in Venice at the end next week.

Stoked for Monaco. All I can hope for, is that Checo gets the pole, and wins again. It would be fun watching Verstapen, throw himself against the ground. It would add some comedy relief😂

Honda and Alonso. What could possibly go wrong? 🤔🤭
😂 but in all honesty I’m hoping it’ll be good for the sport. Maybe we can get a two team fight for the tittle. Make it a bit interesting.
