Long time F1 fan here...... !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Following since 1989.

I really miss the V10's & V12's... even the V8's now!
seeing micheal schumacher in indy racing......was amazing....the sound from those engines is captivating.

i think the netflix series has really made it more popular in the US

Watching since 09, really really got into it during the V6 era. I personally a fan. Williams and Mercedes and HAAS fan and of course huge LH44 fan. Along with Lando Norris and George Russell. About as anti-Ferrari as one can get

I’m there with you on Ferarri as well, Mercedes to. The big exception to that is I really like Vettel. I will not be surprised to see Vettel bail Ferarri when his contract is close. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at Redbull either.

Lolol, I have a knack for picking unpopular drivers. That’s how I became a Kyle Busch fan, a Lewis Hamilton fan, the exception is VR46. I was working at Yamaha back in 2002 and was a huge Ben Spies fan and Nicky Hayden fan, I raced with them back in the CMRA days, anyways when Rossi went to Yamaha we got to meet him at Laguna and I became a fan since. Though I rooted for Hayden and Spies over him lol

Anyway, when the V6 turbo engines came out my interest in F1 started. I know everyone loves the old engines, but maybe it’s the pitch or something but I couldn’t watch the races, they annoyed me so much. I believe he is the greatest, i think he could win in Ferrari or RB... maybe not a championship but he I think is better then Max. Leclerc is the future I think, along with Max. But I’m not a huge Max fan.

Started watching the odd race in '04. Started watching full seasons in '07. Missed two races since, both because the Sky box broke (China '08 and Belgium '13, fortunately, both rather dull races).

Favourite driver (all time): Ayrton Senna
Favourite driver (active): Daniel Ricciardo
Favourite team: McLaren
Favourite circuit (all time): Brands Hatch
Favourite circuit (active): COTA
Favourite ever race: French GP 1979. Probably put Monaco 1982 2nd and Monaco 1992 3rd

Agree the Netflix F1 series is a great watch. It helps personalize the sport. Thought the Senna documentary on Netflix was also good. Not necessarily a masterpiece film, but a heck of a view of an F1 legend...tragic ending.

Favorite track: Spa--only because it's the only one I've had the fortune to drive so far. In addition to a good behind the scenes tour, I was lucky enough to do 200+ km on an open pit track day. Know the place like the back of my hand now.

Oddly enough, I like the similarities between F1 and road cycling. Team event where equally talented members are expected to sacrifice to produce an individual winner.
