$7M fine for a half mill over spend plus reduced aero testing doesn't seem like a joke. From an accounting perspective they were over by around $2M but only because RB screwed up the paperwork for a tax credit that the FIA says would have cut the overspend down to a half mil. But the fine part has no effect on the F1 program. It does NOT count toward a future season cost cap.$7M fine and 10% less aero testing. What a joke.
The only effect on the F1 program is the 10% reduction in aero testing. That’s a reduction of 22 wind tunnel runs and 140 CFD items per ATP.

It’ll be interesting to see what Wolf cries about next year in the name of safety if Merc doesn’t improve there car.
