With 42,000 points, I understand it’s worth $210. Can I use that to buy oil and a filter at my dealership or do they have to perform the work? How have you used your FordPass points?

I traded mine in for floor mats, parts counter had to go ask the service desk if it was ok to do it.

I used mine for the first oil change. FYI, 11.0 quarts, 5W-50 full synthetic.

You can use the points to purchase parts, or service. I had over 100k points at one time and used them for various things. When I bought my car, they offered double points. I currently have 78,000 points...thanks to having to replace the engine in my Fusion lol. I would have rather kept the $5K for the engine replacement lol.

Having said that, I've had the oil changed 4 times in 10k miles with 5w50, ($160+ per change), Had the brake rotors and pads replaced with Power Stops, Purchased dual horns and a couple of other things with only using the Ford Pass points.

I disabled the modem by yanking the wires, changed my sharkfin antenna out to a low profile, and canceled my fordpass. So no points here, lol

My service advisor will normally ask if I want to use the points. It has paid for many oil changes as well as installation of after market parts. It has always been a pleasant surprise when it saves $$$.

Yes, your car should get you 42,000 points. You also earn points when buying parts, warranty, and, or having service. Every now and then Ford offers double bonus points and I was lucky as they gave me the bonus points when I bought my car. Even the supercharger install added points. I was at just over 100k points after picking up the car. Those double bonus points happened at just the right time for me.

You only get the points if you sign up for FordPass within 60 days of your cars purchase.

Do you mean when you order the car or pay for it and complete all the paperwork? I ordered my car then signed up for FordPass Points.
