When to change oil today (600 miles) when I got down to put the lift arms under the car I noticed the lift point for the front was way back from where you'd expect it. Took a step back to look at where the lift arms would be and it just struck me as not right (balance). I continued on and started to raise car and right away I could see the front was way behind the rear in the distance off the ground. Figured Ford knows what their doing as far as center of gravity and weight distribution so I finished lifting it to the max height. Went to the front of car and pulled very lightly on wheel and it moved slightly. Didn't feel very confident with the whole situation so I went ghetto and cut some 2x4 to put under k member on both sides. So has anyone else felt the same way when lifting their 2020 on a 2 post lift? Should the front points be further forward?

I use the pinch rails for both front and rear locations.Right behind the front tire, and just in front of the rear tire.

Exactly what I did. The front didn't strike you as too far back?

Not at all. Countless hours on the lift like this, with no issue.

Those aren't the recommended front lift points. That's where they should be! Recommended is where the big cutout in side splitter. It has an embossed arrow on the plastic.

When they say recommended, thats just where they engineered a place for the jack (which they no longer supply, lol) to fit. For the normal customer, only one wheel will be lifted off the ground at one time. The pinch weld is strong enough to lift the car at any point.

They do work well when working from a jack. If I didn't have a lift, I would use them.

I've seen those jack pads on amazon, are they sold by the pair, each or set?

Jacking Rails............?
Solved my problem.
Yes... for daily use, I keep my jacking rails on the car. For track use, I will remove the rails to save the 10 or 12 pounds.

The jacking rails let you jack the car as far forward as the rail goes. This car is very nose heavy and support furthest forward is best. The Steeda jacking rail ads used to have the car on jacking rails and jackstands and there would be a bunch of guys sitting in the trunk area. My point is that the forward support is the most important.

So to the OP, I would do one of two things (or both). Get a set of jacking rails and/or get a set of race ramps.

For oil changes and the like, I use race ramps. If I have to get under the rest of the car, the jackimg rails are great.
