Yes I can see that………Now I'm confused.
You cannot extend a factory warranty that has been voided. The FRPP warranty supersedes the factory warranty.Have a message in to Granger to find out about this.
Don't start a war of wits with me. I'm a half wit so you are badly outmatched.Yes I can see that………
That’s correct on the FP warranty replacing the factory warranty for certain parts. I’ll have to dig up my ESP to see what is excluded. My guess is that you’re correct and that the ESP would not extend to the FP kit and tune.I believe the FP warranty REPLACES the factory warranty on related parts. I suspect the ESP does not say it extends the FP warranty.
Only for the parts that the FP kit replaces and related items specifically mentioned in the FP warranty. It DOES NOT void any other part of the factory warranty and thus any ESP that would be covered under said factory warrantyYou cannot extend a factory warranty that has been voided. The FRPP warranty supersedes the factory warranty.
Smart man!Right, unless my 10R80 starts acting up. $2000 invested for 6 years (warranty period) will no way make enough to cover a transmission or major motor repairs. I have very bad luck, don't feel like rolling the dice.
I did, and ended up using it for a $6800 10R80 replacement...all at the cost of a $795 ESP powertrain care. You cannot extend a factory warranty that has been voided. The FRPP warranty supersedes the factory warranty.
Then go ahead and just buy it as it seems you already have your mind made up.I asked for input on the plan, not whether it was a good investment or not.
I have to ask: As distraught as you are about him paying for an ESP, are you by chance a potential beneficiary to his estate?Yea sure you did. If the original poster (who did ask for input) wants to throw his money away……..
