So if looks like I can get an ESP for my 2019 Mustang. 6/40000 for what I think is a reasonable price through Granger. Anyone had any good or bad experiences with this ESP (premium).

I’ve had one on all 3 of my mustangs that I’ve bought. Currently have 10year/100k. Makes you feel way better about beating on it lol.

Waste of money. Take that money and invest instead.
Right, unless my 10R80 starts acting up. $2000 invested for 6 years (warranty period) will no way make enough to cover a transmission or major motor repairs. I have very bad luck, don't feel like rolling the dice.

Its insurance. Gives you peace of mind. Just like life insurance makes it so you don't mind dieing.

That’s a very poor analogy.

Company’s that sell extended warranties MAKE money off of them. Food for thought.

So do insurance companies. All those premiums they receive are invested…

I am really interested in others experiences actually using the insurance. I am the second owner of this car, original owner had the FP CAI installed at a Ford dealer early on in it's life, only mod to the car. If I have an issue, do I need to remove this tune and install stock tune in order to use this insurance, or even have a Ford dealer look at it?

I appreciate all the input and understand that if I do not use the insurance in 6 years Ford will profit from it. I am not equipped to do any major repairs on this car so the ESP plan would give me a little bit of comfort.

It has whatever tune FP does when their CAI is installed. My understanding is this mod does not affect warranty.

Jokes are often poor analogies.

But let me get this straight. You think insurance companies don't make a profit from life insurance?

I believe the FP warranty REPLACES the factory warranty on related parts. I suspect the ESP does not say it extends the FP warranty.

I never said that. But comparing life insurance to a car warranty is apples and oranges.
Now I'm confused. I thought a car warranty is to make lemonade out of lemons.
