Ford ESP on 2022

Currently my car is a 2023 and I purchased a 10year/100k ESP for the car.

Looking at a 2022 potentially to pickup, it has 2,000 miles. Called Ford ESP and she said it’d have to be a used vehicle plan, same plan, but only 6year/75k max.

Is this true? It’s still under the original 5 year, I mentioned this. Not a deal breaker but curious.

Yes it’s out of the original 3/36 and that’s what they go by.

Sounds good. So I’m under the impression it’s the same coverage (premium care) just a different length of time allowed due to that?

I have a new car policy so not sure what the used warranty offers.

OP has a ‘23 under a new car ESP. He is looking to buy a ‘22 but they will only offer a used car warranty. The factory 5 year drivetrain warranty is still in effect but the bumper to bumper may have ran out. I believe they give you 41 months to obtain a new ESP.

You are correct, I found that out. I still have 3 months to get the new car.

If the 2023 is a full Extended Warranty, I would stick with the 10-year one just for the electronics and the screens.

I thought you said 6year/75k max for the 2022. Anyway my game would be on having coverage for the electronics for the longest calendar time possible. So I would stay with the 2023 with coverage till 2033.

That’s what I was originally told by a phone rep, but they didn’t know what they were talking about. I can do the same warranty on the 2022.
