I read some posts that folks prefer the Ford one...
Any major differences?

The Ford one is recommended in the manual, so I assume you'll never have issues with a dealership or Ford for having an "aftermarket part" on your car. I installed mine about a month ago, haven't checked it yet but will do in the next few days. Not sure yet how to drain it (other than taking the top off and using a rag or something) but am sure there are YT videos.

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I bought the Steeda oil separator for my Mach 1 and love it! It comes with a truck load of connections for different size hoses if you wanna mount the can somewhere else. It even includes another OEM quick connect hard-plastic PCV hose so you can take off your original and use the one they give you to cut to length. The can also has a little filter in it that you can replace (not sure if that really helps per-se, but a feature nevertheless). I usually get maybe a drop of oil out of it at maximum every oil change.

Here's the link to the one I bought: https://www.steeda.com/steeda-black-billet-s550-mustang-oil-separator-2015-555-3716.html

I've also heard a lot of great things about the JLT oil separators and the Ford Performance one as well! However, I think whichever option you go with, you'll be happy with it! :like:

I did the Ford Performance one(s)primarily to retain the OEM appearance in the engine bay, and if you are wondering where the driver's side unit is, its still in the box as it is for a GT350 and one of the hoses needs to be reworked to fit on the 5.0 but its on the "to do list" along with the differential bushing kit also still in the box

When I drained mine I just removed it from the engine bay and poured it out from the IN opening, good enough to get most of it out.

FP and passenger side only.
I unscrewed the top and wiped it up with a rag. or you can unclip the whole thing and dump as stated above.
FP look OEM and the dealer can t complain.

Another FP catch can user here. Big reason was to maintain the factory look. Works just fine, every oil change I remove it and drain it.

To drain mine, I purchased this small syphon https://www.ebay.com/itm/131238845062 and syphon through the input side. Very simple as there's maybe only 1-3 oz, depending on the way you drive.

This, it's done in a jiffy few times a year, very little stays in that can't be poured out. No point to open, just a quick disconnect.

Not answering for @Beaujangles what he bought, but you should get the part you quote. Be sure it has A at the end, as there is an older version without A with slightly different mount (which can be used though).
