yup, I've done it twice. You need to do it right before yours runs out because when you extend it, you are essentially buying another and it starts that day. You don't want to do it with a month left to go because you overlap and lose out on that month.

You also can only do it if you have the premium ESP and it requires the premium ESP renewal (can't change coverage levels).
Who does this extension on extended warranties?

I have an 8 year on my 2017, so it runs out in 2025. My question is whether I can extend that? I was under the impression 8 was the max. Does anyone know.

FWIW, I bought car at Flood Ford who also sells the ESP online as per the link provided in this thread.

Well, I called the Ford ESP sales line to ask about an extended warranty in Cali, and they said that you could only get them on the phone from them and that a law had recently changed to eliminate any other type of sales effort. So, I got a quote from them which was for the premium plan 4 year 36,000 total mileage for $2,950. I don't know if this is something new or not, but they offered an interest only payment plan with 10% down and equal monthly payments ( which always seems to be offered when something is overpriced IMHO).

I only have 4,700 miles on my car in almost three years, so I don't drive it much but I do track it so that's why I didn't get a larger mileage maximum. Thoughts on the price/coverage would be appreciated.

Are you going to drive 36,000 over the 4 years? If not then you bought to many miles.

No, hadn't really thought it all the way through. It was just a place to start to see how the prices compared to other members. You're right, that would be too many miles for me, but in the event of a sale, might be an advantage?

I did 4 years 40K, which would allow me 40,500 at the end of four years. I'm pretty sure I won't drive it that much, but I didn't want to get to a point where I didn't drive it due to exceeding the milage. I just did the powertrain as all I'm really concerned about is the motor since I have a 2016. They did the inspection yesterday. About how long does it take to hear from them after the inspection?

How much did you pay for that coverage?

It was 1648.00 from Lombard Ford as suggested above. Keep in mind, its only powertrain.

I have a 2017 R with a 8yr/36k warranty from Anderson Ford was the cheapest when I was looking (better than Flood at the time).

Are these esp plans available when your car is OUT of manufacturer original warranty? I was always under the assumption that I would sell my car after 8 years of tracking, but it looks like I can buy another 6 year warranty from Lombard Ford for my 2017 R, $50 deductible , 40k miles, expires 2029 for only $4,118? I have 2 more years left on my current warranty, but this is amazing news if I can extend it another 6 years???

flood ford won’t sell a warranty on pre 2019 R, and Anderson is 2018. I’ve not looked around for more quotes, but like I said, Lombard ford will sell it now. It might make sense to cancel my Anderson esp and get a prorata refund iirc and do 6yr with Lombard to make sure 2017 cars stay an option. I love my R, but unless it gets a new motor with all the tracking I’ve done I’m not keeping it out of warranty.

This is amazing, I have a 2017 Raptor (as well as 2017 GT350R) and don't feel the desire to upgrade to a Gen 3 Raptor, and the Raptor R's gas mileage will kill me towing/hauling, so will consider doing another 6 years this way on my Raptor before the 2yr's warranty I have left expires. Really glad I found this thread and figured this out as I was planning to have to sell the Raptor and R in 2025 (I use these Ford's as intended and have lots of warranty work!).
