So you are saying that the threaded hole in the crankshaft is stripped?

And if the holes speaking of are in the crank and it’s messed up again while attempting a tap repair …. Time for a new crank…and that will be one hell of a clutch job $$$$.

Took the words out of my mouth. I’d have that professionally done.

You can also install a heli coil if the threads are so badly damaged that they cannot be restored.

Any pictures of said threads so we can see exactly where you're talking about?

The only thing I can think is that OP either used a power tool to start the bolts, or perhaps didnt have the holes lined up correctly, as the holes are not equidistant from each other. Option 3 is that this is OP is a troll since no photos or responses have been provided when several people have tried to help.

You can get those bolts directly from your dealer, I snapped one of my new bolts when I was doing my clutch two weeks ago on my 18, they were only $1.50 a piece direct from ford who was able to get them for me next day vs other vendors who sell them in sets of 8 for $30 + dollars. So if you have a local dealer, check with their parts counter.

Should still be the "JR3Z-6379-A" part number. Good luck fixing it, I shit a brick when I snapped my bolt thinking I was going to have to replace my crank. I'd also be curious how you stripped it?

In Cincinnati there is a mobile guy that specializes in broken bolts/studs, stripped threads, helicopter coils etc. All the dealships here use him. He has all the tools and knows all the tricks. I'm sure there are more like him in every big city. Maybe ask dealership techs who they use?
