Finally my R is scheduled

^^ if you have a VIN number you should be able to figure it out, right?

Sadly, mine has only moved to unscheduled clean, but no date yet. Sales guy suggested to me it should be a Q1 build. If true, I expect a March date soon.

Otherwise, its just hurry up and wait some more.....:frusty:

The biggest hurdle is material hold, so if you are past that it shouldn't be too much longer before it gets a VIN.

Johnson... Hey man sorry to dump this in your thread but I'm thinking we are all in same boat here... Got very, very real news (email from dealer and ford rep) that the R's will start rolling off the line in March. That my friends starts next week!!! So I'm secretly hoping that a whole boatload of us get our R's by end of March? Or am I being optimistic? I've always programmed myself for a late March/April delivery from back in October/November. But anyways just wanted to bump you and say I'm hoping for a quick and painless birth of your baby.

Don't bet the farm that R models will start rolling off of the Flat Rock assembly line some time next week.

Next week is the scheduled production start up date for the R models but none of this is cut in stone.

Mother Nature will play a big part as to when Ford starts up production and if next week is off to a cold start all of our R models will be pushed out again.

I've had my VOC since July 5th and my VIN since early August and missed the November 23rd final production date by one day so my car has been pushed out a total of 11 times now.

As we all know from many years of experience FMC moves at their own pace and will produce these cars when they are good and ready.

I'm with all of you other R model owners trying to be patient and I really hope that you are right and that next week the production process begins again.

Yes duly noted... I guess my point was that the cars are "supposed" to begin being built in March, in which, the 1st of March is Tuesday. Just being giggly is all. I understand we are not the only R's on the docket just getting pumped I suppose. On a side note... I ordered my plates today! They said 3-4 weeks to be delivered and my first thought was... What if my car comes first! Lol. Prolly not but ya never know!

Goofball, did you get your car ordered from a local dealer in Houston? I am receiving mine from a local dealer in the Dallas area. IF yours comes in first lets have a party down there, and if mine comes in I'm having a party for all the Shelby owners in the area, You are welcome to come up. I had a party at my house when I got my 1965 Shelby "Superformace" Cobra, we had about 40 cars here..my neighbors were like..what the hell is going on here..lol:eyebulge: any way I hope we all get them...more than likely I will get my last...Gods way of punishing me for wanting a car so badly....addle:

Yes I live here in Houston on dealer is 15 minutes away. You damn skippy we will be having a party soon! I will for sure be keeping everybody posted when it comes. The dealer I ordered from also has 2 more R's coming but not sure who they are.

Its a very nice drive to Houston, if I get mine first I will drive it down there when you get yours, vise versa....(coming up here...either way I am so excited...March is taking it sweet time getting here..:amen:?
