Interesting I would love to see a dyno or detailed driving impression with this combo

How is the quoted results a step backwards in performance exactly?IMO, this is a waste of time and a step backwards in terms of performance, also, I don't see any better all round low rpm drivability.
Have you tried the F150 manifold personally and felt no performance gain?The best I can do at the moment. Non scientific.. lol just a pen and ruler and trying to guess but....
Results...
@3000 +20 TQ +5 hp
@3500 +15 TQ +5 hp
@4000 +36 TQ +27 hp
@4500 +0 TQ +25 hp

@5500 +0 TQ +5 hp
@6000 +25 TQ +29 hp
@6500 + 5 TQ -6 hp
Peak +19 TQ + 2 hp
Final peak 398TQ/399HP
Curious why bother posting if you have nothing to add? I mean it's only like $63 and the OP actually gained performance so you really don't make sense. Not trying to be an ass but I really don't understand where your coming from. Hell people spend more then $63 on other useless products.IMO, this is a waste of time and a step backwards in terms of performance, also, I don't see any better all round low rpm drivability.
His Reply:I also wanted to ask your opinion, there has been some talk on M6G about running an F150 intake manifold for a substantial gain in midrange power for a minimal loss in top end. A few people have swapped over and saw about 30 more hp and tq from 4k-6k rpm, losing about 6hp from 6k-6.5k. These were N/A and NO tune. I am intrigued in doing this with my P1X because with how a centri builds power I thought it may be the best of both worlds for mid and top end. Especially since you can get a new take off manifold for $63. I wouldnt want to go through with this on FI though without your opinion first on the tune side of things. Appreciate your response, I'd like to post your reply on M6G if you dont mind.
Since I got the green light from Lund I bought the F150 manifold. For $63 it cant hurt to try. :shrug: I will however be waiting to install it until after my meth injection system goes in as to not cause any complications with that. So it may be awhile till I have any real feedback on the setup. Still excited to try it though!Honestly i have not done that set up yet to truly give you a real world opinion. That intake in theory should definitely give you a little more mid range and with your car being FI i cant see the top end taking much of a hit especially if NA guys are only loosing 6 in the top end. this would shift your power band to a lower range but cant be much. If you want to do it ill tune for it and once finished we can do a dyno pull to compare curves.

Youve got to be kidding me so are you saying Ford should have just made one intake?Nah.. I don't think your an ass, but Ford designed that intake for a truck.
I seen other dyno sheets ( like at SVT ) that shows losses over 3900 rpm
F150 vs GT.
Anyways, Ford coulda saved a bunch on money by using a single intake,
but they designed and tuned 3 intakes ( F150, Mustang GT, GT350 ) for
individual purposes.
Cheers bud![]()
You need to reread his post and then realize you're saying the same thing he is...Youve got to be kidding me so are you saying Ford should have just made one intake?
The F150 intake for example and used that on the GT350 or built only the GT350 intake and put an intake designed for higher rpm and used that on the F150?
All of them have a very specific design and application is why Ford makes not 1 not 2 not 3 but 5 intakes if you include the Boss manifold and Cobra Jet intake manifolds.
There is no one size fits all here, thus Ford did theb right thing and designed 5 different manifolds tailored for each application.
LOL, if you say so. :lol:No the point wasnt for ford to "save a bunch of money by making one intake"
