I’m planning on getting an ESS g3 kit for my 19 gt a10. I want to make around 850whp on e85 with it. I have a boss 302 manifold so my rpm limit is 7800 and the ess kit gives psi based on the stock 7200rpm. they recommend down to 100mm on e85 on a stock motor but i have a higher rpm limit and will have billet opg and crank sprockets so i’m not sure what pulley diameter to get. again i want to make about 800-850whp on e85 does anyone have a setup in a similar situation?

You need around 16PSI to make 850 wheel. At sea level, that 100MM pulley should get you pretty close.

Also to note, you shouldn't be spinning the standard G3 any faster than what the 100MM pulley will anyway (according to ESS)

If you're going E85 don't forget to budget a couple G's for a fuel system.

Everyone has a higher rpm limit than 7200

100mm will get you around 900 to the wheels. So 1if you want no more than 850, go with a 110mm. Should be a tad over 800.

110mm on E85 with 21* of timing should net you low 800s at the wheel.

With the right tuner it’s not needed. But finding someone competent enough is the hard part.
Yep just went through that whole exercise over the past month... I'm not in the camp of having found a tuner willing and able to do it.

Likes others have mentioned go with the 110 pulley. My friends car full weight that I tuned went 4.6 60 to 130 with that setup. Really no need to go much more on a stock engine and trans.

oh yeah 4.6 is insane i don’t want to push it far like i said my engine and trans have stock internals and i plan on getting a torque converter, clutches, rods and pistons some day but until then id like to keep my hp low enough where it is still safe for the car.

I like that we are calling 850whp "low". There are a lot of things WRONG in this world, but the car hobby, particularly the Coyote platform, is not one of them.
