Engine Rattle

Hello,

I just bought a 2021 Ford Mustang GT Manual with 18k miles but I’m hearing a very strange noise coming from the engine bay. Sounds like a rattling noise under slight acceleration. Sounds the worst around 2k-3k RPM. I’ve attached a video but it does sound a lot louder in person. Anyone have any idea what it might be? Doesn’t sound normal at all.

Do a search for the "2k rattle" and you will find dozens and dozens of posts about it. It's very common and doesn't seem like an issue, moreso an annoyance.

I’ve seen a couple threads of that but I just can’t believe this is a normal sound. It’s super loud in person sounds like the engine is knocking crazy

It's the high pressure fuel pump making noise.

I have the identical sound. I've beene assured over the years it is normal. No issues so far.

I’ve owned an 18 GT, 21 GT and a 22 Mach 1…..they all rattled.
