Engine knock

Turned my car on today and heard the engine knock for the first time. It did stop after about 15 to 20 seconds. Do you think this is something I should be worried about?

Knock with 93? That makes no sense.

Yeah it had a pretty loud knock for a good 15 to 20 seconds. I'm going to see if it happens again when I turn it on once the car cools down.

Can you give any other details, like did it only do it at idle, through the RPMs, only when you got on it? A video would definitely help.

Sorry, it only happen while I was in idle. It stopped once I accelerated. Car only has 3400 miles. I don't abuse it at all. That was the first time it happen and hopefully it doesn't happen again. If it does I will try to get a video for you guys. I was just wondering if I should be alarmed.

Take it into the dealer, perhaps their diagnostic computer can pick up what happened.

If it knocks again at cold start, have your vehicle towed to the dealership and looked at.

Any kind of knock is not good...especially at cold start up. Probably have a main bearing that is insufficiently getting oil.

Do you mean a pre-iginition "ping", or a heavy rod knock? The latter is darn serious.
