So the other day i noticed a loud knock/tick sound coming from the engine. I pulled over and shut the car off, and restarted it but the noise was still there. I popped the hood and there was a clear as day knocking/tapping noise coming from the passenger side.
I slowly gave it gas to raise the idle and the sound increased in speed with the engine. This was a definite problem somewhere inside the engine. My best guess is a lifter?
Anyways, i shut the car off and went to go find my phone to record a video. By the time i had come back and restarted my car, the sound went away by the time i had gotten out to take the video.
I made an appointment at ford for this coming tuesday, but my concern is that even with possible damage done to my engine, i wont get any customer service because the noise has gone away.
I would hate to put my whipple on and have an issue a few miles down the road. What do you guys think?
