You've been wanting a scat pack for the longest. They run 12's :shrug:It's funny seeing all the 4-banger V8 wannabes thinking 12's are fast.
Yeah 2 bad they didn't make like a special edition V6 to make it go out in a bang or something.maybe instead of arguing v8 vs turbo 4 we should all grieve for the loss of our 6 cyl bros in 2018..
Agreed, a tuned 2.3L EB is about on par with a stock GT PP or lightly modded one (CAI, Exhaust), but it's lighter (handles notably better if you've driven the two side by side), gets way better fuel economy and is around $5,000 cheaper after basic engine mods. This thread is interesting for me. I have been planning to do a Pro Cal tune in the spring since my car will be under warranty for a few years and then switch to something aggressive after the warranty is up. I had never considered that an aftermarket tune could be affected by weather. It gets very, very cold in Colorado. This will make me rethink that and maybe just stay with the Pro Cal tune.
Also....what's with the GT guys bashing EB owners? Not everyone wants or needs a V8.
I used to have a GT. I did everything you could to that engine short of FI. Cams, heads, full exhaust, suspension, trans work, etc... Then, I swapped out the SOHC 4.6 for an '03 Mach 1 crate motor. Drove it like that for years. Fun car...
I have been down the NA V8 route, and it's fun, but now I drive an EB. Why? Because it fits my needs...and it's a fun street car.
They're posted in the drag racing forum for all to see.Lets see your time slips then high speed.
I own a Scat Pack now and you're correct stock it only runs low 12's.You've been wanting a scat pack for the longest. They run 12's
It's a maturity issue. Once you allow for understanding that, there's no reason to take offense.Also....what's with the GT guys bashing EB owners?

Or just not feeding the troll. ;)maybe instead of arguing v8 vs turbo 4 we should all grieve for the loss of our 6 cyl bros in 2018..
428i is such an awesome car. I considered one, but finding a manual was difficult and it wasn't a Mustang.Doesn't care how many 5.0's pass me with attitude, however I admit when I see 428i's or Audi 2.0T's........
Which is why I pointed to user error and suggested Unleashed probably would have told his customer to make adjustments or come in for re-tuning in cold weather. With that methodology it's necessary.I'm running Unleashed 93 custom tune. I just this week switched from my summer tune to my winter tune now that high temps have dropped into the 40s here in NJ. So Torrie does account for this and there's info on the winter tune in the Unleashed thread in this forum.
