  1. Clicking From Rear Wheel

I have this exact noise especially going in reverse and do not have wheel play, I think I have been rolling like this for quite a while. How long can one go on like this? Is it just mostly an annoyance problem?
  2. A look under the covers of a 110k mile 2.3 EcoBoost engine

That looks absolutely fantastic for 110k miles, pretty solid being a small high strung boosted motor no doubt these can make it past 200k+ easily, all it needs it care.
  3. Interesting issue

Its better to start with the easiest and obvious possibilities, do the TSB fix first I did that even though I didn't have the described issue before putting on the FP tune.
  4. P0303, cylinder #3 misfire.

I don't know if this info means anything but coming back from a large volume dealer the service advisor mentioned head gasket issues we're more prevalent on the 2018+ models. Might I add he has been there for over a decade so that variable of absence is out of the question.
  5. Experience with Motor Mount Replacement

It is quite more common than thought unfortunately, I found out recently fleet of explorers have had them replaced multiple times with low mileage, piss poor quality 0 durability.
  6. Experience with Motor Mount Replacement

thanks, looks like I wont be able to install them any time soon they are back ordered.
  7. Experience with Motor Mount Replacement

So it looks like this is a common issue, shit motor mounts I assume? 63k miles mines are out definitely won't be able to do this job about how many hours to do this job?
  8. 63k miles 3 issues, only one covered

@Bikeman315 Maybe I missed it but where does it list serpentine belts and tensioner? secondly who expects those parts to fail before 100k miles? 63k bad motor mounts, tensioners and a water pump and you think thats normal If you do your part of the problem, but yea your right If your gonna own...
  9. 63k miles 3 issues, only one covered

@Schwerin Yea neither have I guess Ford likes beating the odds. Never tracked once, spirited hard driving from time to time yes, but mostly its just my daily there is no reasonable explanation for this.
  10. 63k miles 3 issues, only one covered

I would of been too if it was a Honda.
  11. 63k miles 3 issues, only one covered

So having got basecare extended coverage I was surprised to find out belt and tensioner assembly is not covered, the tensioner is a wear item at 63k miles I guess. Motor mounts not covered, water pump covered but now the dealer wants 200 dollar diagnosis fee because that wasn't covered even...
  12. How common is EcoBoom?

The rods being defective have long been debunked as an excuse for poor tuning, there was so much hysteria in the beginning I fell for it. 6 years already a manufacturing defect would have been proven by now, all evidence points to tuning strategy being the primary cause for early failures. There...
  13. Premium gas?

hes right ya know. ecoboost, it is literally here, just for economy reasons. hence eco'boost. 87 is more economical, its cool they have the ability to let it run 87 or 93, with power being the changing factor. thats a pretty nifty feature imo. I guarantee you 90% of ecoboost owners are running...
  14. Premium gas?

. Ford isn't trying to hide or mislead. They are very clear that to obtain maximum performance you need higher octane fuel. Again for a pickup truck fine, for a Mustang not so much. As always JMHO. :like: I guess the problem is people speak here like it's fact when in reality its just...
  15. Premium gas?

Right so then you finally admit it's okay to use 87 that was the whole point, 99% of people are not driving like maniacs every chance they get and who would be racing on 87, no one. There are engines that recommend or require premium in plain English, there is no reason why Ford would be hiding...
  16. Premium gas?

f150 and all other ecoboosts have the same recommendation and they get used up and down in vast numbers on 87 that dwarf Mustangs, so those are not blowing up. Let's ask Joe six pack from the 60's how is all this possible.
  17. Premium gas?

Regular gas (87) is "NOT" recommended by Ford. It is the "minimum" you can safely use in the Coyote & EB. Both cars are spec'ed to 91 for both HP & torque. In the Coyote the power drop is minimal if you drive it moderately. If done this way you will get maximum gas mileage. If you get on it...
  18. Premium gas?

Thread revival, Is MPG worse on 87? logically I thought it's making less power therefore using less fuel and seeing how the manual says 87 is recommended the stock tune is literally tuned for 87 with optional 93 for increased power.
  19. Question. Spark plug comparison.

They just look more carboned up than the OEM's no big deal, but the OEM's do look better for being 25k miles vs 4k.
  20. Question About Upgraded Intercooler

Haha mine is PP and has it, hmm interesting probably another cost saving measure.
