Thanks. That's what I thought. Even Steeda and proflow refuse to release filtration data on the infamous pod filters...that says it all right there.I bought an AFE intake for my 01 Cummins with the dry filter. I pulled it off 6 months later to find the intake tube full of dust. Sold it and put a paper filter back on. I am running an Injen intake on the Mustang with a dry filter that looks of much better quality. I have checked it several times and found no contamination in the intake. I do still have the factory intake just in case though.

Thing is, it had lost all its color BEFORE I washed it. Not going to lie, I'm kind of annoyed. That thing wasn't cheap.https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/washing-the-airaid-gt350-filter-outputs-blue-tint.187649/
You're post reminded me of this ^ thread.
I've yet to lose any noticeable amount of color, but it has happened with others.
I've been using cold water from the tap, at low pressure, the direction of water primarily inside-to-out. Once done, I'll rinse the outside, just letting the water run from one end to the other and not trying to force it through the material, outside-to-in.
The Air Raid filter, directly from Air Raid, and a Ford Performance filter, made by Air Raid, are one and the same design and size. I purchased the FP filter, M-9601-G, in March of 2023, from Summit Racing.

While listed and sold as a FP part, it arrived from Summit in an Air Raid Box and is branded same.
Maybe Air Raid noticed people were writing in about the dye being lost and made a change? Or there was a batch or two that went out with a dye of lesser permanence?![]()
IF it's a cotton media just throw it in the dishwasher with some dawn dish detergent.I have the Airaid blue filter. What all are you using to clean your aftermarket dry filters with?
Was the injen worth it? More power?I bought an AFE intake for my 01 Cummins with the dry filter. I pulled it off 6 months later to find the intake tube full of dust. Hard to say specifically, I added the intake, throttle body and tune all at the same time. Definitely more kick overall. Was the injen worth it? More power?
