pssst…. Did you ever get the Outerwears pre filter to use on the filter? All you would have to do is just literally vacuum the filter media if using a prefilter, because the prefilter prevents the filter from becoming dirty/clogged.

Don’t use any strong chemicals on the dry filter for cleaning, it will ruin the element. Simple Green or Dawn Dish Soap will work with a thorough rinse and let dry for a few hours. NEVER force dry it with a heat gun or hair dryer, that will shrink the filter media and ruin it.
