Nitromethane not nitrous. Sorry should have clarified.

Some N/A guys will mix in nitromethane fuel. Nitromethane is a crazy powerful fuel because it contains a lot of oxygen but it also has a super low air to fuel ratio which means you have to have super big injectors and a good pump. It’s the fuel they use in top fuel cars. I think they use like 11 gallons in a run.

Ah yes, my brain went to nitrous but I realize what you meant now. How much hp can a FBO engine built w/ nitromethane addition fuel system make over the same FBO engine but on E85?

Couldn’t find any good info on mix %, hp, or times when adding nitro.

If we knew the mix % people were running than we could do a good estimate.

The little I could find was people saying that some were spending $20k to build a motor when you could just run nitro mix. So I assume people are making 600+whp stock motor with nitro and maybe cams.

Maybe if I dug harder I could find some more info but not much turned up in my quick search.

5% with gasoline and it requires additional additives to mix together.

I had the Ford performance power pack 2 installed (GT350 throttle body and cai) and was in the middle to near end of datalogging when the tuner said the GT350 throttle body was more trouble than its worth, so i switched back to the stock throttle body and air intake and started from scratch..

question is...can anyone tune for a 2018+ IM and Power Pack 2 combo or would a GT350 IM be better and more matched to what i have sitting in a box (gt350 tb & cai)?

What are the problems with Power Pack2? I want to buy it.

at the time, Palm Beach Dyno couldn't really tune it for E85, that is the only reason why i went back to stock. since then, i contacted Wengerd and he says they can tune the power packs...that will be my next stop soon. i might just put it back on and run 91 octane until then....

the one drawback i did find was the intake temps were high...i do live in phoenix, so there's that...it would be 110 outside and my intake temps could reach 130+ in slow to stopped traffic.

i never ran it for times with the PP2, since i did not have it on that long.
Ford Performance says it will add 21 HP.
my best gain is with E85 and a lighter tire and wheel setup.
do you have access to Ethanol fuel there?

i couldn't tell you, but get it tuned beyond the ford tune that it comes with and you should see an increase. Wengerd said he can tune the power packs, so that's what i will be doing.

do you have ethanol there? if you do, that's where you will see a good bump in power
