I think on the street with stock tires, and stock half-shafts, 3000rpms makes a lot of sense -- I also think 4.8 is pretty darned good -- you may see a little better, but probably not a whole lot. Are you needing a 2-3 shift to do it?

I have a Lund tune with JLT intake so making a little extra power and have a few suspension mods. I hit 60 in 2nd gear since rev limit is raised to 7500 or so.

I doubt I have any suggestions that would be more helpful than what you've thought about already -- I guess you could do a quick burnout to clean the tires off a bit first -- but that probably isn't needed, strictly speaking. I'm not sure how the stock Pirelli's would respond to putting more heat in them though.

I think with some stickier tires I should be able to get low 4's 0-60. For the 4.8 runs there was a lot of wheel spin. Even started going sideways. Will full traction I would think 4.0 would be possible.

I think so too! I'm curious if I could hit 60 just going to 285/40/19's versus the 275's -- going from a 27.7" tire up to 28", and a bit more contact pad... I also wonder if the Ford ProCal tune that's due out later will bump the rev limit up enough to get to 60 in 2nd. It pulls really hard all the way to cut off.

Further thoughts on this: It seems to me that Ford is waiting to release their procal tune until after there are more new Camaro's on the road, and then will release the tune -- maybe make it the standard tune for the '17 or '18? I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but some of this may just be good marketing on Ford's part. It would be nothing for them to release a 91 octane tune with the fuel cutoff bumped up to 7100-7200, and claim 450-460 crank horsepower. Heck -- the marketing guys should make it 461 -- and claim it's more power than a Stingray... but I digress...

The built-in app isn't accurate at all on the GT. It's several 10s off. As much as a half second in some cases.
