Tried out the 0-60 firs time the other night. Stock(besides corsa touring axle backs) with 3 total people in the car I got 5.2 but the car would spin and bounce quite a bit off the line. First try was 5.6 2nd was the 5.2. If I could have hooked up more I'm sure I would have been in the 4's.

Since the track apps go off of front wheel sensors will putting on a taller tire up front affect them? I have 275/40/19s all around.

I would expect it to adversely affect it, yes. Against my GPS, I'm consistently 2-3 mph over whatever I set cruise control to with the stock 255/40/19's up front. I suspect that there is only one wheel set circumference set from the factory in the computer -- I don't know what wheel set it is -- or it could be just one that's somewhere in between all of them. These things all have me wanting a vbox sport...

Have you tried launch control? I'll have to look at your signature to check your car -- I have a base GT with PP, so I don't have drive modes -- but I can still put advancetrac into sport mode.

don't mean to derail the thread -- My best 60 foot in trackapps was an even 2.0 using launch control -- it's been several months, and I've not used it to test 0-60 yet.

I didn't try launch control. Do you have to turn off advance trac completely? I put it in sport mode by double tapping traction control button and then put launch control on but didn't seem to work so I just did it without launch control.

I have the Base GT with PP.

No -- you actually have to leave it on for it to work -- you double tap the traction control button (think double-clicking a mouse) -- to get it in sport mode, so it's less intrusive. With the nannies totally off, you don't have launch control available. Forgive me if you're already aware -- the LC is in the TrackApps menu, and can remain on throughout once it's set.

Ok cool. I think I tried that but I will see. I ordered the BMW craddle lockout thing so that should help some with the wheel hop issues I had.

Ha -- forgive me again -- I see you already had it in sport mode! The IRS mods will definitely be among my first mods -- I just don't know what to get yet. I've actually started to consider getting the whole FRPP rear subframe and getting vertical links and toe links.

I've seen five flat 0-60 on mine with a less than stellar launch. Non-PP M82 GT.

I thought it was well accepted that the built-in track app isn't accurate?

Yup. Someone posted some tests they did with a VBox or similar. The GT with 3.73 actually hit 60 in the very top of 2nd. With the track apps you have to shift to 3rd....that makes the difference. The magazines generally use real test equipment for times, not the track apps.

I haven't been back here in a while -- used a speedo application on my phone -- bounced off the fuel cutoff in 2nd at 59.8 mph... It was a really slow roll on to ensure I wasn't spinning, and that was what she did. My only change so far is that I've put BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2's on so I can drive it in cold weather.

What rpm are you guys launching at? I'm sure I could get good 0-60 times if I could get any traction.

I put launch control at 3,000rpms. Temps were 65 out yesterday. So much wheel spin still 1st and then again in 2nd gear with the stock PP tires.

Best I could get was 4.8 seconds.
