I read Ford was even sued for the flawed system. Does it suck for you? Also I read they promised apps like Pandora, etc. but now that Sync 3 is here they said support for Applink 2.0 will be discontinued.

What are your experiences with the system?
To me it works perfectly fine. I tried the voice control several times (although I typically feel pretty stupid talking to the car, and it worked flawlessly. Not a single miss (changing climate control setting, switching audio source to USB and Back to Sirius - Bluesville, calling people using names out of the phone book). I seriously fail to see what's wrong with it.

I am sure it can be improved, but I see nothing wrong with Sync2/MFT - actually I was very positively surprised by it reading everywhere how much it sucks...

The only thing that pisses me off is I can get Pandora to work perfectly with my 2012 F-150's sync but on my 2015 GT w/ the 'uber' mytouch not a single app works! WTF? That is a hard fail of Ford's part.

Ohh the system works just fine no problems but doesn't matter what sync version you have you are going to really hate poking the screen thats the main problem! The sensitivity of the touch screen is the worst i ve used so far! Sometimes a gentle touch works but the next time you try to touch gently it doesn't register so you have to press it hard or poke the damn thing! It reminds me of the old systems you have behind the plane or bus seats! So far i used mylink and uconnect besides ford mytouch and uconnect blows everything away with the touch screen!

It's fine. In fact I kind of like it and so far prefer it to the iDrive system that was in my 3 series. If you are proficient using any kind of computer, you'll have no problems.

I was expecting the worst after hearing all the bad remarks on it, but after 2 months with it Id say it's quite good. Voice commands work very well - very rarely have to repeat or correct - and the touch screen sensitivity is good (but when driving I use voice and the wheel controls for basically everything). There's a bit of lag occasionally but not enuf to be a bother.

Mine works just fine. That being said, I don't have a phone synced, I don't pay for Satellite radio, I don't hook up any ipods, and I never use the navigation. As far as the touch screen sensitivity, if your fingers are cold and dry- it doesn't work worth a d_mn, if you warm your fingers and keep lotion on them- the touch screen works perfectly. I only bought the big screen because that's the way they bundle the options these days. I had to have the high-end stereo and heated and cooled leather- so I had no choice but to get the fancy 8-inch screen filled with crap I'll NEVER USE.

You do realize that MFT is a resistive, rather than capacitive, touch screen, right?

Thats the part I don't like! I like smooth touch systems like cell phone! Resistive feels awkward, i feel like if I can't control my pressure on the screen i might end up breaking stuff!

sounds like an extreme case of old guy.

I use mine daily, I keep a flash drive with my music library plugged in inside the center console and it's nice to see the album art displayed on the screen and be able to go and search for a specific song using the screen or the voice controls.

I think it works great, it's miles better than the touchscreen/fender system that's in my VW Jetta...you want to see a bad system just use one of them for a few minutes and you will never complain about MyTouch again.

For the most part, it has been fine. I even got the navigation to find a rather obscure POI in the city. For a resistive screen it's not bad; I've definitely used worse. Would have been nice to have had a good capacitive screen, but that probably would have added another $100 to the cost. Voice commands work pretty well.
My only issue so far is Sync getting bogged down while indexing my USB thumb drive. If it gets unhappy, it will spend an hour or so "Performing scheduled maintenance"; which we all know means I have no idea why things aren't working, so I'm going to re-boot several times and hope it goes away
