Does Sync 2 with MFT really suck?

It's a little more bearable in black :shrug:

I know Ford said MFT won't be able to upgrade to Sync 3, but I'm still hoping that a retrofit is possible since most of the harness and required buttons seem to be the same; and apparently someone on the Taurus forums have done a swap already.

It's A LOT better in black imho. I'm probably going to hold out for the 2016 for SYNC 3 but the interface will definitely need upgrades going forward. But that's the nice part about SYNC3; it can be easily and frequently updated.

But that black background is 10x better. Did that photo come from the Taurus link?

I agree, black looks a lot better than light blue. I noticed it while skimming an article from the Verge, most of the pictures are of the light blue color, so maybe the background color is changeable?

Thanks for posting that article as I found exactly what I was looking for. From the article:

...there's also a dark mode that can be switched on or automatically enabled at night.

In all the months since SYNC3 was announced I had never heard any verification of a night/dark mode but it's 100% included and that just completely sold me on it. Yeah the interface is very plain, boring, and kind of ugly but it will be faster than MFT and upgradeable. Sold... unless I get a killer deal on a 2015.
