Hey people’s,

This is a post to try to help others avoid the issues I have recently had to deal with.

About a year ago I bought red tail lights for my 2020 mustang gt from VLAND on eBay.
Initial contact with them was positive and they were happy to negotiate a good price so I ended up buying a set with a 12 month warranty.

Fast forward a year later the left tail light now will not indicate. The back lights still work but it just won’t indicate (the right one still works fine).
I contacted the company but was ignored for quite a while before I had to contact eBay to have the company followed up.
Eventually the company replied and sent me a email with a video that wasn’t in English that showed someone flicking the light switch on the dash and then turning on the hazard lights.
I tried this but if course nothing happened.
I tried to explain to the company that an auto electrician had told me my wiring was fine but that the problem was with the light itself.

The response was then again asking me to try switching the lights in a different fashion again.
I again tried this but of course this didn’t fix the issue.
In total I tried their way 3 times and each time the light still didn’t work.

They are now stating they can’t help me and are refusing to send me a new replacement set of tail lights….and are now ignoring my emails to them.

DO NOT BUY ANY VLAND LIGHTS AS THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT OR THEIR WARRANTY!!!

Yup totally agree…..it’s just that you can’t buy red tail lights for Australia UNLESS they are aftermarket.

No. Ebay doesn't warranty products like that-if you get something not as described its easy to get your $$$ back but not after a year lol-and thank god because it sucks enough as it is selling stuff on there, if ppl could scam me out of my money after a year i wouldn't sell a damn thing on there.

I am a little partial to Diode Dynamics stuff (just the front parking lamps, and the side markers) they come with an 8 year warranty.

Idk why you couldn't just import OE ones from the US? Or is this an engineering issue when you go to register your car?
The American ones don’t flash the amber light when indicating….they just blink the red lights….so yes it’s an Australian standards issue

Hmmm maybe they’re the ones to go with 🤔

Diode Dynamics generally makes good stuff. Their rear side markers are made in the USA too.

I get what you’re saying but I’m not scamming anyone…..the warranty was for a year and it was literally a year when they stopped working and all I wanted was a replacement set which I don’t think is too much to ask considering.

No, mine were ExoticPonyMods. They claim to be better than Vlands, which they probably are in some respects. But still utterly unreliable.

They don't work with non-US vehicles. They're controlled by the BCM, and the BCM is different.
