Hi, folks
Just received the VLAND 5 modes seq. Tail lights and installed in my 2015 mustang but the turn lights do not work when engine is working. I own a US 2015 model adapted to euro lights years ago. I've just asked vlandus tech department . Any other got the same issue? Thanks in advance

The euro lights worked fine. Turn lights in yellow blinking. But I bought the 5 modes VLAND wich includes the yellow sequential mode, cursor sequential mode, etc. problem is that they work with engine stopped. For some reason when the engine is running the turn lights stop working(perhaps the alternator is creating noise or whatever...). That is my problem. Thanks

The issue may be that thr vland lamps are meant for usdm wiring, but can be converted to euro with adapters, but going from usdm to euro then back to usdm may be causing the issue.

My car is now the same as an euro mustang. So after installing the VLAND lamps I (I had to move the right pins on the connector to the right ones and the brake, tail and turn signal wirk fine when engine is off) . I mean they work the same as they do in many other euro mustang cars. But for some reason the turn lights don't (the rest of lights keep working ) with engine running

As you can see, the wiring is different for euro version lamps vs usdm.

Thank you Gfswindle.I appreciate your help. Vland are sold as valid for USA and EURO mustangs, and I know wiring is different and as a matter of fact I had to move the wiring pins in the connectors to the right place so turning lights, brake and rear lights work fine with acc on but engine off. Problem is the turning lights don't work when engine is running. Looks like there's not enough amperes, cause I measure the volts and they are the same as when engine is off. Any body got the same problem?

Your welcome. I will say this however, my vland taillights error out my body control module for short circuit whenever I select a turn signal mode that lights all 3 bars at the same time. This would shut down turn signals. I wanted factory functionality but amber instead. But after weeks of back and forth with S550 euros with wanting videos of the issue in every different mode for each taillight is said fuck it and tried a different mode. For my vehicle as long no more than 1 bar is illuminated during turn signal they work fine.

So , you which mode you are using? Factory? I mean the outer lamp blinks in amber when you switch on turn signal? No sequentials? Thanks s lot

I am using mode 1, amber cursor indicator. This is the one mode using amber turn signals that doesn't cause an issue with my body control module.

Gfswindle, Vland techs have replied my problem is a known one and caused by 2021 old circuit boards that didn't provide enough amperes to make work the turn lights with engine on, in some mustang models, so they replaced the circuit boards with another one that provides more amperes. Now they are confirming what I saw when I tested the turn lights electrical volts and amperes, the current was lower with engine on than with engine off) . They gonna provide me the new ones. Perhaps your problem is caused by the same

Hi guys, VLAND sent me the newer 2023 taillights but same result(great guys!!!!) I took the car to Ford dealer for a week so they could try to fix the alternator or whatever caused the problem but they didn't succeed. They said Ford is not interested in investigating non standard devices(like the sequential taillights).

I was frustrated and tired, so tried to get the 12v power from another source. I plugged the red wire from the taillight connector to the 12v from the lighter with the engine on and IT WORKED!!! So it was just to install relays to drive the taillights!!!

Then I connected a 12V 30A relay (RELAY2) so that it is activated when the turnlight switch is ON (12V go through a BLUE wire from the car connector(LEFT TURN LIGHT) closing the output circuit that drives the 12V from the lighter to the red wire in the taillight connector , turning the LEFT turn light on. Doing the same process with another relay(RELAY1) activated by 12V on the YELLOW wire from the car connector that activates the relay when RIGHT TURN LIGHT switch is on, the 12v from the lighter turns the RIGHT taillight on. See the scheme attached. By using this circuit everything works now with engine on, even the 5 modes turn lights.

Hope it helps if someone has the same problem that me. ISSUE FIXED!!!
Best regards guys

Op...let's pretend for a second that I am completely dumb when it comes to electrical. Do you have pix of the corrected setup? Maybe even a dumbed down version of how to do this fix 🤣
