No, but I am now
it does take some effort to overcome those struts.

pretty easy to take off and trunk just goes and slams shut . u do need to manually lift it all the way though. somewhere down the line, imma just look for 1 strut that stronger strength. I feel that currently 2 struts is too strong, and 1 strut is a bit too weak.

It does stay open with just the one strut? I'm gonna try it and see how it works...thanks.

+1 on removing one strut. Makes closing the trunk with a strap 100 times easier.

I'll take one :D
Oy,

Looks like your site is OOS.

I Have some material I can use, where can I find the OEM style fastener?

Thanks!
Wooo! Just upgraded to gold sponsor so I can post this!

If anyone wants these, both the trunk kits and RemoveBeforeFlight tags are now available!

To answer questions, I tried many more fastener options - plastic drywall anchors, bolts, other OEM style fasteners, china fasteners.. nothing worked as well as that first one. I tried to rip the pull loop off my trunk with ~90% full arm strength and it didn't even budge! And I'm not a small guy. I took the clip out and inspected it after - it created a groove in the plastic but no damage. I'm still using the very first clip I tried, after multiple installs, uninstalls, and trunk closings.

awesome!! just curious. how much force does it require to close the trunk even with the nylon loop?

Same force you would use if you closed trunk using your hand on the deck lid ;)
Remove one of the struts and gravity will close trunk.

I don't think it's safe to remove one strut. Risk is, you will get hit on the head searching for something in the trunk..

One strut works flawlessly, holds trunk open and minimal effort is needed to close. As krazieboy mentioned before, possibly a strong wind could blow it closed. See video on post #51
