I just hope someone offers an aftermarket honeycomb grill with GT fangs and no running pony in it.

The owners manual revealed the exact location of the sensor. But unfortunately it still doesn't confirm whether a specific lower fascia is required...
I saw this as well. But in my opinion, I think it all but confirms the lower grill is the one without the fangs that we see on the LE/50th anniversary packages. Even the image outline seems to be that grill.

I really think TampaBear has been right this whole time. In the DIB, there is a convertible with the standard GT upper grill and the slotted (ACC Grill) grill. Could be a preproduction plunder but I have to think there's a reason for it being there.
I agree it seems like the most likely scenario at this point. An interior shot of that same car showing the steering wheel controls would pretty much seal the deal.

Agree, this seems to clearly (or as clearly as anything to date) indicate the ACC uses the alternate lower grill.

Which is pretty lame - surely when aesthetics is such a large component of the appeal of the product they could have done it without having to alter the appearance...

It seems like laziness. Maybe it was constrained by budget, MAYBE by packaging, or maybe, in some strange land that I don't understand, people want others to know they have ACC, even at the expense of looking worse.

Or Maybe it's just a simple fact that the System Requires a Flat Surface to Bounce the Radar/Sonar Signal Off Of and it couldn't be mounted behind the Bumper because if the Car had Metallic Paint, the Metal Flakes in the Paint would Affect the Signal.

THANK YOU... :D

All We really need to see is the Dash of one of these cars with this Grill to see if it has the LED Strip at the Edge by the Windshield...You can see where the LED Strip mounts on this pic that I took of the Guard Eco-Boost in Brandon. It had Matching Grills and Doesn't have the Warning Strip... So....

Also check this out. I believe this will be the First Mustangs to use SoundScreen Windshield. I'm not sure about 13-14 but my 11 didn't have it.

I'll be honest with you; I still don't botice the difference unless it's specifically pointed out. Black plastic is black plastic, and it all looks the same, whether it's in "fangs" or horizontal bars. If the fangs were body colored, that'd be a different story.

I agree with you. I think the whole 'lower fangs' thing has gotten blown a bit out of proportion. I have a feeling when most people see the cars in person, they will realize that the differences in the lower grill are hardly noticeable and not worth all of the fuss. There are just so many more interesting aspects of the car for the eyes to be drawn to other than down there.

Personally, I like the blocked out one a bit better, but I really couldn't care less which one mine has.

I'm just confused why it was stated that the ACC wouldn't affect the look in any way as it would be hidden behind the bumper. But I forgive her for the honest mistake. ;)

To me it makes a big difference in the appearance of the Car. Even Standing at Eye Level You Clearly Notice the Texture of the Lower Grill. In My Opinion it Looks Unfinished wothout the Matching Lower Grill. With Matching Upper and Lower Grills it gives the Appearance of One Big Grill Bisected by the Body Color Bumper. So if it's Noticeable while Standing imagine how Much More Noticeable it will be to Oncoming Traffic that is sitting much lower.
