Well like I said if these simplistic logs can indicate any problem that could be related to cam chains, tensioning, phasers or vct solenoids... I'll just replace all that crap... And hopefully I get some time out of that.

I'll see if those other pids report anything like that... Or see if I can add a pic for that

That log actually looks like they track about right.
it actually felt good today... but seemed to have a partial throttle.... I dont know what I'd call it. Almost sounds a bit like an exhaust leak...

These engines are real sensitive to DA. Could that be what you are feeling? Some days mine feels like it is missing 2 cylinders. Still runs smooth but no power. Other days it feels like it gained 100 HP

and when you say DA, what are you referring to... not ringing bells off the top of my head. But yes, that kind of describes what I am talking about... some days it feels like just moderate acceleration and it'll spin the tires or be in third flooring it, and start to light them up, some days it feels like it falls on its face.

One thing is for sure, things run GREAT after oil change, but not for a huge amount of time

Density altitude. All highly tuned engines fall prey to this. It is atmospheric pressure. When pressure is high, or low DA, the cylinders get more air and fuel per stroke.

What oil are you using 5w-XX

I don't like RP or Motorcraft oils. Put a euro spec 5w-40 in it. Make sure is says A3/B4.

That is a performance spec and not an emissions spec.

Ive got these symptoms too since new.
Could drive the car for 2 hours and it feels ok but kinda lumpy and doesnt pull hard.
i could leave it for an hour and suddenly its like it has 200hp more and engine is as smooth as silk.

its so hard to diagnose because its so intermittent.

I have been unplugging the vvt solenoids x4 before cold starting and then plugging them back in and it seems to work and have good power.

I also cleaned the solenoids by connecting them to a battery and cycling them on and off rapidly to help remove any gunk.

New VVT solenoids are cheap (only about $35 each). The problem is, it’s a little work to change them out. At the very least, you’ll need to remove the valve covers to access them.
