  1. Camshaft Positioning Sensor Exhaust Side ISSUE- 2016 Mustang GT Manual

Was this ever solved? Having same issue
  2. P0390 and P0394

Did you ever fix this? Having the same issue and it seems your the only person that is still active on this thread lol.
  3. Diagnosing Cam Phaser issues with data logs

Did you ever fix this issue? I am having a somewhat similar issue where i can take a drive and it runs great, or it will misfire at a light and i will get cam codes. Completely random and have no clue what to do.
  4. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Also completely forgot a possible important detail. After the install i drove it for a week or so completely fine, no issues. The thing is, i have a constant evap code from charcoal canister delete so i have no clue if those codes came up before the issues started. Week ish after install car...
  5. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Sorry misread your question, yes it will. Lower rpm cruising it will occasionally start to misfire. Id imagine they would be around 0 degrees then.
  6. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

I don’t believe so, for some reason load fixes the misfire. Say its misfiring at 1k rpm, i can downshift and its gone.
  7. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Heres 3 logs with the parameters you mentioned, hopefully at least one gives some insight. During this drive, the misfires got pretty bad and car almost died at one point. Every time they go into failsafe, i need to turn the car off and on to get readings to come up again.
  8. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Its definitely interesting how both exhaust cams do that now that you point it out, after work today I will definitely take a log using just those parameters.
  9. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Was able to get a log in forscan of the issue happening, i did basic pid’s then pretty much everything with cam degree attached to it for as much data as possible. The log starts off idling fine at a light and as i start cruising, i can feel it misfiring and then at some point it goes into that...
  10. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Makes sense, tomorrow I will have my coworker look at it with his snap-on scanner which should be able to look at all that data which my logging software cannot.
  11. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Just did a wiggle test on that sensors wiring, nothing at all. But i do have a theory in my head that makes sense to me at least. Since pac 1234x springs have significantly higher seat pressure (92lbs vs 67lbs from stock). Could it be possible that vct is having a hard time controlling cams...
  12. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Is there anything i can log that would point in a certain direction?
  13. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

It is entirely possible that i pulled a wire too hard though, it isn’t easy to take off the Christmas tree pins on the valve cover and i could have damaged something, just odd that it only happens at idle after rolling stop 90% of the time it misfires.
  14. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Already replaced both solenoids on drivers side after issue came up, didn’t change anything šŸ˜’
  15. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Makes perfect sense, i though they were being put in some sort of fail safe the way all of them reacted in unison. I use sct livelink to datalog and a desired exhaust cam pid doesn’t show up for some reason, but now i am thinking that the phaser for the cam with the codes may be bad/defective...
  16. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Was able to log it. When misfires start, all cams appear to drop to 0.07 degrees. Not sure if thats what it defaults to if it looses signal or something.
  17. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

Definitely a possibility, I’m not not sure 100% where to check and how. Wiring is definitely not my specialty lol
  18. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

*Update* did data-logs and the issue of course didn’t want to occur when i was logging, but looking at both exhaust cam positions, i can say that i can completely rule out timing being off. 30 minutes of driving and average exhaust timing was only .12 off bank 1 from 2.
  19. Very intermittent misfire/cam code issue - p0390/p0394

I replaced both drivers side solenoids a few days ago hoping it would fix it, nothing changed pretty much. I will check the wiring though now.
  20. 2019 Mustang GT CEL

Did you ever solve this? Having same issue currently.
