Supposedly...now after the holidays...production is getting back to "normal." Thursdays VINs come out and the following Mondays the build week is supposed to be assigned and on your cotus sheet.

I got my VIN last Thurs. and no build date...so, I'm waiting to see if Monday their system is "true."

I got my VIN today! Order date was 1/08/2015. However, it could have been assigned on Thursday, not sure. My uncle works for a ford dealership in Louisiana so I'm on D plan as far as pricing is concerned (and hopefully it gets built faster too ). I've had a 4 cylinder Integra, then a 6 cylinder 350z, and it's about time I drive a nice V8! Will be my first domestic car too.

Looking forward to that build date!

Hi all,

I just wanted to create an area for people that ordered their mustangs in December and January. So we all can compare each others times and everything. I have been just looking at signatures in other threads but thats not very efficient.


I ordered on January 5th. I was hoping I'd get a VIN yesterday through COTUS (seems to be a trend so far, the first Thursday after ordering) but nada. Anyone else have any luck?

I also ordered 1/5/15. Priority code 19. Can anyone tell me the link to COTUS. I cannot find one on Google or this forum via my searches. At almost two weeks since order, what should I expect of COTUS or my order status? Ordered from Sunnyvale Ford in SF South Bay. They said they sold a lot of mustangs. I'm guessing they were not lying as they had three convertibles on their lot, just not DIB!

Sounds like mine is to build the first week of March.

Which will be perfect, it should land about the time the snow is gone and the roads are clear.

What was your order date and other vital w/ regard to when you got other info?

www.cotus.ford.com is the site. You might already have a VIN. I ordered the same day as you and got mine on the 15th. You will need your order number and dealer code to look up your car. You can find it on your DORA or your order confirmation sheet that your dealer should have given you the day you ordered.

Mine was ordered 1/10/15 and I got a VIN on Friday, so I don't have a build date yet but if mine comes in April Id be very happy. More time to save more money for my down payment lol

EDIT: I was able to access on a PC laptop via IE. It gave me a VIN and said: "Once scheduled, a VIN and estimated build date will be provided in upper left of home page." I see no reference anywhere to an estimated build date. Is the web instruction incorrect and the est. build date comes later? How long for est. build date?

Both www.cotus.ford.com and wwwqa.cotus.ford.com will not load on my Mac using Firefox, Safari or Chrome browser. (My OS 10.6.8 does not support IE.)
EDIT: HAH ! ! Came back to my Mac abfter 30 mins and the Cotus site had loaded! I put in my VIN and guess I might see that page load in 30 mins. LOL

Just received an update from my salesman...

Your order was picked up last Thursday, here is the VIN..... As of now it is scheduled to be built the week of Feb 2nd! I'll keep you posted as I see it moving. Thanks again for placing the order and will talk with you soon.

Received word from my salesman that my build date is 1/29/15!

The date's not in COTUS yet (VIN is), but confirmation from Rachel here and my salesman has me pretty convinced it's the last week in Jan!
