December/January Orders

Hi all,

I just wanted to create an area for people that ordered their mustangs in December and January. So we all can compare each others times and everything. I have been just looking at signatures in other threads but thats not very efficient.


I ordered on January 5th. I was hoping I'd get a VIN yesterday through COTUS (seems to be a trend so far, the first Thursday after ordering) but nada. Anyone else have any luck?

Yeah I didn't notice this "sub forum" until it was moved. I looked on the actual 2015 forum but didn't think to check on the main page. My bad.

I ordered mine on the same day as you. I've seen on other threads that no VINs were given out this week because of some unknown reason. They are set to resume order processing on Jan 15th. Hopefully we get our VINs next week!

Ahh it looks like you're right. I was creeping on FordService AKA Rachel's recent posts and seen that scheduling won't resume until next week.

How long were you quoted? When I placed the order I asked "about two months?" and he replied with "yeah that sounds about right. maybe a bit sooner". Fingers crossed

I was given a 6-8 week time frame. So about the same as you.

6-8 weeks is the standard date I think, I would say it is pretty accurate if you order now, though the Christmas break has added on some wait time :(

I was quoted 4 months.

I ordered on Nov.28th, it was built on Dec.16th, and in my hands in Minneapolis on Jan.2nd. It arrived in town(according to the online cust. service rep.) on Dec.26th, but the trucking co. was SLOW.

I ordered on Jan 2nd. I can't get the order number to track in COTUS let along a VIN. Maybe I am not asking the dealer the right questions and the COTUS threads a so large I don't have time to read all of it to be come educated. Could it be because the dealer can't even put the order in yet? Any insight?

I ordered on December 26th and I was told 6-8 weeks as well

I put in an order 18 December and was told that only one person at my dealership puts in orders once per month. Next order placement wouldn't be until 15 January at my dealership. Rachel from FordService did some checking on my dealership and she said they haven't placed any orders since mid December. I was told the latest would be 90 days from when they placed the order for delivery of my Mustang. I'll be happy if I have mine by 15 April, as I don't plan on driving it in the snow in Alaska anyways. Summertime car for me.
