Yeah, that is strange that their 2000 hp half shafts aren’t as strong at their 1400 hp ones.

Soo i took that axle to Drive shaft shop today… you can see where it wasnt built right.. The spline and snap ring were striped out and he said it was a defect from them… they are going to fix it for free….. he also said this is the strongest Model they offer and before long will
Be the only Model…… Also he is going to price me a Upgrade toward a carbon drive shaft..

Exactly why I didn’t buy these halfshafts. DSS to me is just trash. Gforce is hands down the best period.

Man that's smoking. Definitely DSS will want to send it to have a metallurgist to see if their was a manufacturing flaw of some sort. No 2000hp axles should ever break at your hp level. And yes, harmonics are killer to metal fatigue, so I hope our cars do not have an inherent high level harmonics at the level to deteriorate the drive trane parts. Yikes if it does.

Half shafts were high on my parts list too. I reached out to BlowByRacing regarding the Shaftmasters DS for my 2019 Bullitt and to my surprise, they told me that Shaftmasters no longer builds driveshafts for Mustangs. They went on to suggest a DSS driveshaft. TBH, I’m not only afraid to take a chance on that, I also don‘t care for the design of rear portion of the shaft that bolts to the differential.

Well Ford racing is Gforce which is why you haven’t heard of them being a problem. Lol. That’s actually what I have. The Ford performance Half shafts. Which are made by Gforce and a version of their renegade half shafts. They also are the only brand with a life time warranty. That says it all. Break them in 2 years call them and they will send another one out. Within reason of course. Gforce is the best. Undebatable.
